After I broke my leg during a skiing trip I had plenty of time to finally play Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s two months since my accident, my leg is doing well but I’m still impressed by the beautiful world and powerful story Rockstar created with RDR2.
I’ve never experienced such a well written and emotional story before, be it in another video game, a movie or a book. (Yes, I shed a few tears at the end...) It was a fantastic experience to roam the world of RDR2 with Arthur Morgan, I learned so much from a fictional man that never existed.
This is a little homage to this fantastic piece of art as well as to the classic LEGO cowboys theme from the 1990s.
[Dark Times RPG]
[Dispatched by order of the Pyke Syndicate, Aureoles Klim has captured a squad of wookiee warriors plotting against the invading imperial forces. Klim had encountered and fought wookiees during the final parts of The Clone Wars. He had little respect for the new Empire once he saw the enslavement camps and the way they operated, but Klim was in it for the money, not honour…]
Klim infiltrates the Origin tree, but is halted by significant wookiee forces. The wookiees had mounted a solid defensive position, nearly impenetrable without artillery. His fellow pyke crew mates were lost to wildlife and were obliterated by the wookiees. Left with no crew, Klim makes his way back to the imperial command station through the treetops with his grappling hook. Here he requests a squad of imperial troopers to assist him. His request is denied. Defeated and under pressure, he ventures back into the dark forest…
While doing some reconnaissance, he spots a large branch over the heavy repeating blaster next to a supply drop. Using the grappling hook he used to flee earlier, he launches himself into the air and onto the branch. Still unaware, the squad of wookiees hold their position. Klim uses his rifle to create a small hole in the branch, and places a tibanna gas charge inside. He secures himself to a part of the branch a bit further from the charge, levels his amban blaster rifle and aims. POW! The blaster bolt hits the tibannacannister so it explodes, freeing the outer branch from the hold of its tree! Klim falls off, but his held by the grappling hook secured to the remaining part of the branch. Dangling in the air, he watches as the wookiees scramble to escape the falling debris. They were too late. The falling branch had hit the blaster position and a ammunitions depot. BOOM! The surrounding wookiees were either killed or knocked out by the blast. Klim repels downwards to capture any survivors. Most of the wookiee squad had perished, but Klim manages to put 3 wookiee warriors in custody. Klim grabbs what supplies he can to appease the syndicate. He chains the wookiees together and guides them up the origin tree for extraction. As he turns towards the mayhem he had ensued from the height of the tree, he spots a platoon of imperial troopers accompanied by a fighter tank. They were located at the exact position he and his men had fought and died trying to take out the wookiees defensive position. He had asked for imperial troopers earlier, but received none. And now that the job was done, those troopers walked the battlefield as if it was empire day…
Hello!
I commend those who took the time to read the story! This build was made for the @darktimesgroup Kashyyyk target. I appreciate all feedback. Have a great day, and keep on building!
I love LEGO aesthetics of the eighties and early nineties, and I often want to make references to the classics, to its beauty and simplicity. This time I made a simple minimalist building with strict straight lines and completed it with a classic minifigure.
Classic never gets old. This mustache and stubble face is one of my favorites. You can make so many different characters using this face. I was lucky to find a very well preserved head with a knight minifigure from 1995.
I made this shot using two lighting sources: small LED panel behind the window and Ulanzi mini cube on the right. I seem to be slipping more and more into longer shutter speeds and smaller apertures, and I really like it.
I've always had a soft spot for these old-style 1999 Astronauts. For me, nothing quite compares to the helmet mold and chrome gold visor combo, alongside the nostalgia of the old minifig prints.
I spy an umbrella, two dog bones, a fish,
LEGO in black, and dessert in a dish;
A spaceman with his head stuck tight,
three eggs, a hare, and a bird of the night.
My third entry into my LEGO "I SPY" series, inspired by the wonderful photos of Walter Wick and rhymes of Jean Marzollo.
Aquasharks: Striker shark
This Aquashark engineers really hit the nail on the head with this one. The heist with biggest scores are always the most demanding jobs which require speed and precision. Taking inspiration from the hammer head shark, the head is filled with some of the most accurate sonar and radar sensor equipment they could get their hands on.
Just managed to squeeze This build before the end of #aquajune hope y’all had fun building! The years AquaJune had awesome builds and I’m excited for next years!

-Snowman
-Penguin
-And the icey ground.
Thanks for looking and wish you all happy holidays :-)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Jerry Builds Bricks is making a great remake challenge over on Instagram in which you have to remake classic sets.
Here are my takes on the 6634 - Stock Car and 1496 - Rally Car.
They are kinda the same because I did the 1496 first and after that I've made the 6634 too.

A transporter for the BRS 01 racing speeder. It is my first and hopefully not last build for #febrovery2021. The compartment behind the back of the driver is used to store the detachable headlights.
One of the great traditions that we have here in Poland is an annual charity event that takes place just after Christmas - a grand finale of Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity), an organization that for the last 30 years does an incredible job of raising money to aid our healthcare system and help those in need of specialized equipment and medical assistance. In order to support these activities, anyone is able to (among other things) sell some items or services using one of the online auction services and thus earn money for The Orchestra. This year I decided to put on sale one of the true classic LEGO Castle sets from my collection - the famous 6067 “Guarded Inn” from 1986.

In researching inspiration for this section of the display, I suddenly find myself completely entranced by Classic Town! The simple shapes and bright, primary colours, it's so beautiful (I may be delirious right now). Anyways, this is very much on the side of late-1980s town sets like #1490 Town Bank: the larger glass windows as opposed to the earlier smaller opening windows with shutters, etc.
Last one in the series next: Classic Space.
I always wanted one in black as a kid but only had the white versions. Luckily i tracked one down in mint condition not so far away. Naturally Candy was the first passenger!
I've used the newer 1x1 round tiles for lights and at the rear i use a neck bracket as a rear passenger back rest. When there's no side chick on board i will put printed tiles with a bag for storage either side.
