**Thank you to all my followers, likers, and sponsors. I may not get to every single comment but know that I appreciate everything**
By the gym I go to there is this statue I've seen in passing there is this war memorial. So one day with perfect shooting conditions I decided to take a few shots. I also recently just upgraded my phone to an I-Phone 14 so I was eager to test out the camera and was not disappointed at the results. Even though most of us have and love our expensive SLR's or mirrorless cameras for a lot of us now use our cellphones as part of our regularly used gear.
Shot this today in preparation for tomorrow's game between Oregon and Oregon State - The Civil War - Go Ducks!
Hey everyone! I´m sorry for the lack of content as of lately. I haven´t had to much time to build anything recently. I have a lot of ideas for things to build though, but sadly I just can´t come to realize them. 😔 That being said, I am working on a MOC for a collab! So stay tuned for that. It´s set to release next month! There also is a Fallen Order WIP laying around here, where I´ve been working on the past like year or so from time to time. Nothing to big. I plan on finishing that as well, though again, because of the lack of time to build I haven´t made to much progress on that in a while. In the meantime, here is a Figbarf I made yesterday. I´ve been getting a lot of inspiration from Andor in recent weeks, but I figure you already guessed that by the look of these figs. 😄
Are you guys enjoying Andor? I love the show! Slow, but I don´t really mind that at all.
For the people going to Kloss22 in Norway at the end of the month or to Bricking Bavaria mid next month, I´m displaying there with the RebelLUG/Brickzlab people!
See you!

With some lucky help from a rising moon over the horizon, this long exposure came into play with the surrounding light. If you ever have the chance to visit the California coast, it is a must do visit.
A California Historical Landmark, the city was founded, prior to the American Civil War, as a military garrison rather than a fortification. Fort Bragg is a tourist destination because of its picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean. Its population was only 7,273 at the 2010 census.

Street and reportage photography from Glasgow, Scotland.
A Pro-Palestine rally marches through the city as tensions rise when a Pro-Israeli rally approaches. A moment earlier there had been a sit-down protest in the middle of the street for this, what I believe to be, unsanctioned rally latching onto the March Against Racism rally earlier in the day.
I'm not a press photographer but, as a street shooter, I feel it is important to document life and times on our streets. With that in mind I ducked and dived through the midst of the protesters to get the shots that, for me, told the story. Enjoy!
I was privileged to attend a re-enactment of the battle, Basing House. The knowledge by the participants of the tactics and way of life was excellent. A great day out.
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
NB: Star-Lord's face is used for Bucky. I felt the expression and facial hair fitted well.

Going through more archives....mostly looking through photos from 2015. This was taken in September 2015 at the Civil War reenactment at Van Raalte Farm in Holland Michigan. Here is shot of a soldier before they went into battle.
I can't believe that it was 5 years ago that I went to this reenactment.
So would this be like street photography from the mid 1800's?

The inner harbour at Porth Leven near Helston. The tide is out and many inshore and leisure boats rest on the sandy harbour floor.
Porthleven is a town, civil parish and fishing port near Helston in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is the most southerly port on the island of Great Britain, and was originally developed as a harbour of refuge, when this part of the Cornish coastline was recognised as a black spot for wrecks in days of sail. Nearby Loe Bar was particularly infamous, with swimmers and surfers being warned off the area to this day.

Gowdall is a charming village and civil parish located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It lies approximately one mile west of Snaith and just south of the River Aire. The village's name originates from Old English, translating to "nook of land where marigolds grow," derived from the elements "golde" (marigold) and "halh" (nook of land).
Historically, Gowdall was part of the Goole Rural District in the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974, then became part of Boothferry district in Humberside until 1996. The village has faced significant flooding events, notably in 2000 and again in February 2020 when the River Aire overflowed. Gowdall once hosted an annual Scarecrow and Pumpkin Festival, which ceased permanently in 2017.
The village covers an area of approximately 1,100 acres and is home to 356 residents as of the 2011 Census. It has a rich agricultural history, with crops like wheat, barley, potatoes, and peas being cultivated. Gowdall also has historical ties to the Wesleyan community, with a chapel established in the area.

I haven't been out much lately so I will post another shot from last year. This was taken in September at a Civil War re-enactment at Van Raalte Farms in Holland.
The helmet is from Surge from Hero Factory. I like it because it captures all the shaping in Civil Warrior's helmet. However, it doesn't have the "A", but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
Use a plain light grey head. This combined with the helmet captures all of the details.
Use the Chima armor in silver with the 1x1 Captain America stud to recreate his armor.
The torso is from Captain America (obviously). Use silver arms but keep the red hands.
Use silver hips and these Star Wars Senate Commando legs for a little more armor detail.
War of the roses, the House of York was white, the House of Lancaster was red, basically in the end was a red and white rose for the House of Tudor. Inspire Me Thursday was dedicated to this textile to remind us that the end results may not be what you think you are waging war for.
So many men were slaughtered in Civil War battles that their remains are still being found on battlefields over a century and a half later. Even when battlefields are not now recognizable as such. (I have mentioned previously that the house I grew up in sits atop what was a Union battery, and its bones, during the battle of Corinth. That's Mississippi, not Greece, though the latter saw its carnage as well. Almost exactly two millennia previously.)
Tourists at Gettysburg recently discovered a young soldier, after heavy rains had washed back the little bit of earth then covering his shallow grave. The remains were examined by the Smithsonian, and found to belong to a man about 5 foot 8 inches tall, in his early 20s, who had been shot in the back of the head.
These tragically, foolishly dead are with us, "the devil's own planting... a harvest of death", wrote a superintendent at one battlefield, and they sometimes make us aware.
The devil would have it so.
