“It is always assumed that Venice is the ideal place for a honeymoon. This is a grave error. To live in Venice, or even to visit it, means you fall in love with the city itself. There is nothing left over in your heart for anyone else. “- Peggy Guggenheim

Calm over Dublin City, its Friday evening, signs of autumn on the way as those long summer evenings are giving away to creeping darkness.

The iconic Brooklyn Bridge, my favourite place in New York, hope you like it in black & white?
Brooklyn Bridge was the first fixed crossing of the East River opened in 1883. It was also the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time of its opening, with a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m) and a deck 127 ft (38.7 m) above mean high water. The span was originally called the New York and Brooklyn Bridge or the East River Bridge but was officially renamed the Brooklyn Bridge in 1915.
⠀
The Brooklyn Bridge is the southernmost of four toll-free vehicular bridges connecting Manhattan Island and Long Island, with the Manhattan, Williamsburg, and Queensboro bridges to the north. Only passenger vehicles and pedestrian and bicycle traffic are permitted. A major tourist attraction since its opening, the Brooklyn Bridge has become an icon of New York City.

‘If I could live in one city and do every single thing I do there, I would choose Venice. You can’t turn your head without seeing something amazing.’ – Nile Rodgers.

This is the Palacio de Crista (Crystal Palace) which is located in the Buen Retiro Park, the park is one of the largest in the city of Madrid. Great place to chill out and enjoy lovely scenery.
View of the beautiful skyline of the city of Verona.
Verona is a city in northern Italy’s Veneto region, with a medieval old town built between the meandering Adige River.
It’s famous for being the setting of Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet." A 14th-century residence with a tiny balcony overlooking a courtyard is said be “Juliet’s House."
The Verona Arena is a huge 1st-century Roman amphitheatre, which currently hosts concerts and large-scale opera performances.
This is the mirrored cone at the center of the glass dome atop the Reichstag building in Berlin, Germany. I took this shot early in the morning whilst on the spiral ramp that goes around the interior of the dome.

Love walking around the back streets of Venice away from the crowds enjoying the beautiful scenery in peace and quiet. Just love the reflections and vibrant colours.

Going Dutch in Dublin, the Royal Netherlands Navy HNLMS Rotterdam fills the night sky of Dublin's River Liffey while on a courtesy visit to the city.
Rotterdam is the first navy visit since Covid-19 restrictions in March 2020, another sign of times returning to normal.
Arriving on Saturday 2nd October, berthing at Cruise 18 beside the East Link toll bridge, at 166 meters, it provided great photo opportunities of this gigantic Landing Platform Dock (LPD) amphibious warfare ship, its two landing craft were on display alongside. The ship also features a large helicopter deck & internal hangar.

"Every lesson you take from your past immediately turns into a stairs to the light!"- Mehmet Murat Ildan
Been to Verona a couple of times now and I find these stairs so fascinating, especially with the black & white edit, let me know what you think?

Beautiful snow covered promenade in the centre of Central Park, this quarter-mile mall is flanked by towering American elm trees. At the Mall’s northern end stands Bethesda Terrace, overlooking the Lake.
The southern end features statues of famous writers, earning the promenade its nickname, “Literary Walk.”
