This pretty flower doesn’t tolerate temperatures below 10 °C (50 °F). It’s Malaysian, basically.
The reason it makes such a strong, tart tea is because of its abundance of citric acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, and its own unique hibiscus acid (allo-hydroxycitric acid lactone). Don’t worry, these are the kinds of acids that won’t hurt.

In the nineteenth century, Chimica Arenella was built inside the seaside village of Arenella, a large Art Nouveau-style factory where tobacco products were packaged, among other things.
The history of "Chimica Arenella" began in the 10s of the twentieth century, when it was established as a branch of the great German factory Gondelberg.
In 1930 it became the largest European citric acid factory, reaching prominent positions in the world chemical industry, and its plant became a reference point for other factories in the sector.
Today taking a tour inside the area of the former factory is a surreal adventure, it seems to be in a strange country far from modern civilization, instead we are inside the city, even if in a hamlet.

Nell'Ottocento all'interno della borgata marinara dell'Arenella viene costruita la Chimica Arenella, grossa fabbrica in stile liberty dove tra le altre cose venivano confezionati prodotti di tabacco.
La storia della "Chimica Arenella" iniziò negli anni dieci del novecento, quando fu costituita come succursale della grande fabbrica tedesca Gondelberg.
Nel 1930 divenne la più grande fabbrica europea di acido citrico, raggiungendo posizioni di rilievo nell'industria chimica mondiale, e il suo stabilimento divenne punto di riferimento per le altre fabbriche del settore.

View of part of the Cabo Espichel from the cliffs "looking" towards Lisbon - the winds are very strong and the view is breathtaking- its the end of the Arrabida Moutains (Serra) on the top we find a the famous Sanctuary of Our Lady and a small chapel (see my previous post). One of my favourite places - beaches are fantastic bellow its a must see if you visit Portugal. Have a great week and enjoy!

The specialists among you will wonder why I am handling two different concentrated silver nitrate solutions. Here is the reason. If a higher amount of an aqueous solution is added to the mixture of ammonium iron (III) oxalate and silver nitrate in order to change the colour, the coating solution will be diluted, which can be compensated by a slightly higher amount of oxalate and a stronger solution of silver nitrate. I indicate the amount of the two main ingredients in millilitres, additives with the number of drops. 15-16 drops of citric acid correspond to about one millilitre. In this print, I wanted to increase the amount of citric acid to 8 drops (i.e. about half a millilitre). So for two prints of this size (14x28cm) you need: 2.25ml amferrioxalate + 16 drops citric acid 50% + 2ml silver nitrate 15% (instead of 10%).

Carpintero Blanco !!! Es otra variedad de carpinteros que está en córdoba . Son difíciles de ver y poco comunes pero están . El Carpintero blanco, Melanerpes candidus, es una especie de la Familia Picidae, endémica de Sudamérica. Mide entre 24 y 25 cm. Su plumaje es blanco en las partes inferiores del cuerpo, negro en la parte superior: espalda, alas, cola, presenta manchas amarillas perioculares, en la nuca y en el vientre. La hembra se diferencia del macho porque no tiene la mancha amarilla de la nuca. Se mueve en grupos, vuela en áreas abiertas, más bien alto, caza en el aire y es frugívoro. Tiene un canto muy particular inconfundible: trrrr.
El carpintero blanco anida en cavidades de tronco que excava para construir un nido, aunque también puede utilizar una cavidad natural en las rocas. La hembra pone 3 o 4 huevos y los pichones salen del nido a los 35 días de su nacimiento.
Se alimenta de frutos, semillas, insectos y miel. Abre los panales de avispas y de abejas para retirar larvas y adultos. Es beneficioso para los citricultores pues algunas avispas causan daños a la producción de cítricos, ya que estos insectos alados cortan las flores impidiendo la formación del fruto.
Frecuenta campos, bosques chaqueños, pastizales preferentemente palmares y áreas cultivadas.
Distribución.
En Argentina, se distribuye desde el norte hasta el centro del país, también al sur con menor densidad poblacional. En América, Argentina, Brasil, Norte de Bolivia, Paraguay y Uruguay.

The Macro Mondays theme for May 30 is powder and I got into the spices- this is ground chili and lime seasoned salt. Who knew that salt would be that pebbly up close? Btb, this portion of the heart and seasoned salt is around an inch— size verification in a bit in the first comment box.
btb, if this is not deemed powdery enough- i'll go back to the drawing board.
Btb2, oddly the first ingredient in the list is citric acid— who knew! And the second ingredient was/is salt.

Contrary to other papers Arches doesn´t need additional Platinum salts to achieve almost neutral black tones.

clearing bath Citric acid 1% 1 min,
Fixer ATS acidic 1+10 3,5 mins
MT3 Vario toner: bleach 1+75 50 secs, toner setting D
at the end of the day fishermens boats and others side by side "resting" .. the strong yellow and the blues seemed to shine with the last rays of the sun.
