Transdev Blazefield have recently introduced 14 impressive hybrid Citaro C2s into service. All arrived in base grey with 12 in this adaptation of the Flyer livery and 2 in a more generic Transdev livery for use at any of their operations.
The examples I travelled on gave the usual marvellous Citaro travelling experience and I preferred these over the electric examples now in service in Harrogate.
Hopefully both the drivers and passengers appreciate the up in quality from the Versas that plied these routes until very recently, with these vehicles being far more suited to this demanding work and hilly terrain.
1509, BV25 MBX, is seen on an A3 arriving into Leeds Bradford Airport bound for Otley.
Preserved Carousel Buses Mercedes-Benz Citaro MB51 (CB51 BUS) is seen in East Ilsley among the autumn leaves.
Perhaps the last non-Red Arrow artic route, if contract terms are to be followed? The 453 only recently passed from Selkent to London General, retaining Citaros (albeit new models with a slightly revised frontal treatment) like MAL 115 (BP57 UYG) approaching Piccadilly Circus.

Former Yourbus Mercedes-Benz 0520/Citaro 3026 (BK13XYC) is now with JJ Kavanagh and re-registered 132DL2108 and is seen here on a Waterford City Service 607
Also seen was one of the Mercedes Benz Citaros new in 2000 to Oldham depot, but all since transferred to Bury.
First's 60249, registration W327 JND, is on the 98 to Bury.

1504, BV25 LZW, is seen on an A2 arriving into Leeds Bradford Airport bound for Harrogate. Unfortunately the Vauxhall appeared at the last minute!
Registered 505 in the Metrobus fleet , this Mercedes-Benz Citaros is seen in Carshalton high street shortly after taken up service on route X26.
A handful of these buses were loaned to Metrobus from Quality Line for the increased frequency of the route in November 2008.

Former First York Mercedes Citaros 11108 and 11109 made their service debut on the Bridges today becoming the first Citaro to enter public service in Aberdeen.
Seen here at Danestone terminus is 11108 preparing to operate a 1 to Garthdee.

Sussex Coaches have recently replaced their Citaro K with another, newer model. It bears registration BF24 AHE and, like the one before it, is used solely on Horsham town route 68 from the Bus Station to Broadbridge Heath.
It could be argued that this is a waste of such a fine vehicle, but at least someone's decided to buy one over an Enviro200 or Streetlite! The newer model features a nicer interior and camera mirrors and is seen here at Horsham, Carfax.

Ex-demonstrator, this lovely motor now spends its life on the Horsham circular route 68.

It's lovely to see a new Citaro in 2024, just a shame that my visit to Horsham only gave me one chance to snap it, a chance that failed as half the town seemed to descend on the Carfax when this bus arrived!

Unfortunately, a police car blocked the view on the right and cropping it out completely didn't look right!
