Explored 5-4-14 Taking a break from studying for a Cisco exam. In honor of "May the Fourth" day, here's a quick shot of a stormtrooper helping me setup a Cisco switch.

Another look into my day job. This is a HDR shot of the inside of a network rack in the server room at my job. Pictured in this photograph is a Drobo storage unit, the backs of Cisco switches, lots of ethernet and fiber optic cables, and the server room mascot. You've got to love working in the Information Technology field, it is always exciting.

In the day time I work as an IT Technician, charged with maintaining computer, server, and network systems. Computer and system administration is what pays the bills. This photograph is a picture of various voice and data ethernet connections into a Cisco switch. If this device goes down, there goes half of the network Internet and phone connections.

Since I don't have much room in my room. I use my Z-Line flat screen entertainment center as a multi function station. Housing my Xbox, DirecTV box, 16 port Cisco Switch, HP Advanced Docking Station, 2.5TB external HDD and Happauge 1212 HD-PVR
On the weekend we our upgrading our infrastructure. Here are the new switches being tested. In the middle are 3 (now 4) Catalists who are stacked, creating a virtual core switch with massive bandwidth
Since I own a scanner now.
Main computer is an overclocked Celeron. It is displaying MRTG which is graphing each computer in the house's bandwidth utilization. Note the CueCat, with which I was able to date this photo to Sept 2000 via a dated webcam image with the CueCat.
Ed's Cisco switch is visible on the right.
Blank keyboard (defect), no characters on the keys, but still lots of fun using it to configure cisco switches.
The cisco switch that pulls the transport streams off the sonet ring and sends them to the cherry pickers. The digital channels come directly off the sonet ring into the PON insertion.
