Another experimentation of oil bubble macro art. Olive oil is placed in a glass of water with something colorful underneath the glass.

It is always difficult to focus on a main subject and make the background blurry. If we use big aperture or small F number. The subject will not be completely in focus. That is why we use the focus stuck and combine at least five pictures together. The sun in the background creates special bokeh effect, and the lens type and post processing software create circular effect. I want to have better pictures, but it takes time and effort. Have a wonderful weekend.

This was part of a wonderfully ornate metal chair in some gardens we visited at Hidcote in the Cotswolds. The flower bed behind it was on its last legs but still provided lots of colour.

... at Mt. Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. Things are looking up !! Only problem is, getting a photo from directly underneath is nigh impossible. It's all water.

The spiral staircase built by Giuseppe Momo is called the Momo Staircase or the Snail Staircase. It is made out of two wrought iron stairways, with one going up and one going down. It is formatted in the curve of a double helix, which wasn’t Momo’s original intention. It just so happened that years later, the helix would become a recognisable symbol of life.

Well its the summer holidays so trying to juggle a gazillion things at the minute. My apologies as it has meant I have had little time for Flickr and commenting. I did manage to sneak out for a few hours at the weekend to photography this amazing staircase. I have three weeks off in August so should have a bit more time then to get round to you all.

Hope you are having a great week! :-)
