The best thing about my visit to Manarola was the drive through the hills/ forest to get there and back. Weather was great and I had the roof open but it was a bit chilly so had the heater on.
I came from Turin, from the A12 and took the exit La Spezia. From there you have very twisty technical roads to Manarola. It was January 1st and I had the road to myself. It was absolute bliss.
