Cincinnati Reds

San Diego Padres @ Cincinnati Reds, August 2nd

Nothing more than your average cow-riding-a-Segway parade. The Chick-Fil-A folks teamed up with the local Segway dealer to sponsor this parade entry.

Waiting for the game to be over, at this point the cincinnati reds are down by five with no time left.

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez (47) leaves the game with a shutout with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning of the MLB National League game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Washington Nationals at Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati on Friday, July 14, 2017. The Reds fell 5-0 in the first game back from the All Star Break.

He would later be suspended for this, because he did touch the umpire.

The Reds thought they won Game Two at Redland Field fair and square, too, but Chisox starting pitcher Lefty Williams (on mound, bottom right corner) was in on the fix. He intentionally lost his vaunted control in the fourth inning to walk three Reds batters and give up three runs that proved sufficient in the Reds' 4-2 victory. In this photo, Reds baserunner Greasy Neale is being tagged out at second base by Chicago shortstop Swede Risberg, also in on the fix.

The pitch is on the way. The batter begins his swing. The baserunner waits at third. What happens next?

Fireworks after the Reds game.

Our partial season tickets for 2008 were in the section 418 directly in front of the Penn Station sign (see note). For this game, we traded in our 3 tickets and bought 5, since both of my sons and their wives were here. I gotta admit, sitting directly behind the Red's dugout is pretty sweet. You get an entirely different view of the game. I could get used to having box seats! Sept 19, 2008.
