I would say that this Cigar shop in Brisbane city is rather new. I imagine if one is a cigar smoker this is the place to go to buy hand rolled and rather expensive Cuban and other elite cigars. We are and have never been smokers but Cuba was always on my bucket list to visit, a trip that will now remain sadly ever unfulfilled.
Is he buying for himself or an expensive gift for the boss?!
With thanks for the inspiration for street shots to our friend Christy Gallois.
On the sidewalk in front of LJ Peretti Company cigar shop is "Poe Returning to Boston", a statue unveiled in 2014 honoring the famous writer who was born in the city and lived here for a short amount of time. Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Had film feed issues with this roll causing double exposure and streaking.

This is Alfred's Cafe in downtown Tacoma, WA. It started its life as Brunswick Hotel in 1888 and was moved down the hill to the current Site in 1907 to make room for what is now the Freighthouse Square. Alfred's has had many businesses on the first floor, some of them include restaurants, taverns, saloons, cigar shops, barbershops and some accounts say a bordello was in its past. The building has been renovated and is a very nice looking piece of history. I had a distant relative by marriage that was named Alfred that had been one of the owners in the past and I believe that is where the current name has came from. DSC_4715_C-HDR-1
I wasn't sure whether I liked the color or the black and white version better, so I posted them both and will leave it up to you to decide!
Mulberry St. Little Italy, This was the St.Genaro social club. long cleaned up, now a cigar shop. But St.Genaro still stands watch.
Got a classic story about a old uncle whom visited from Italy. lol... we almost got placed in cement, my fault for dragging him down here in the 80's.
“Alati” Salt by the sea, The ancient Greeks called it Alas. 2 locations, Tarpon Springs & Clearwater Beach, Florida. This little community brings us back to the islands of Greece. Alati is a warm intimate place to gather with your friends to enjoy a great Food & Drink Experience.

Utility pole and run-down building that houses my local cigar shop. Probably not a shot that a realtor would use for a listing.
Specialist tobacconist shops are not something you see so much of these days, but this one still trades on Rose Street in Edinburgh's New Town, complete with the once-traditional carved, wooden Native American figure (not sure if anyone every asked Native Americans if they were okay with their image being used like this, mind you), Again, not something you see so often these days.
First frame of the first roll through my new-to-me Pentax 6x7. I missed focus on a few shots on the roll, and had some blur on a few that were shot at a slow shutter speed. I'll have to try the mirror lock-up feature on the next roll to see how much a difference that makes. All in all, very happy with the new addition to my camera family.

Logo possibly inspired by Cubist Bold or Dynamic, or maybe this art deco lettering was just widespread in the US at the time
A beautiful woman compares her pregnant tummy to the tummy on a wooden statue outside a cigar store in Johns Pass Village near Saint Petersburg, Florida. I was taking pictures of the statutes outside a store in the village when a woman that was walking along the shops playfully compared her pregnant tummy to the belly on one of the statues. I think you all will agree motherhood is beautiful. The statue seems to have his eyes on her too. She was a very good sport to pose for this photo.
it has arrived. no more painted grip on plastic that's slowly peeling away. we're talking actual metal and rubber. most importantly, the shutter sounds sturdy :) but seriously, what the h*ll are you supposed to do at 5fps? shoot a movie? i guess it could help with all that nascar shooting i do =D
only had a couple hours to play around, but i wandered downtown for a bit and was told that I had to take a picture of the crazy indian statue outside of a cigar shop. i'm liking the results so far. no longer forced to go B&W at iso1600. sweet!

If there is a secret cigar lounge hidden somewhere on the New York-New York resort campus (like maybe in some secret room above Il Fornaio) you may have to ask the helpful hotel concierge for directions and a key -- otherwise you'll have to take your Montecito cigars and dash up the street to either the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, or the Mirage to indulge your habit. And remember Gents -- you don't light up your Montecristo until your lovely lady lights up her Montecristo -- Can You Dig It!
