Spotted in the Shipyards District, North Vancouver.
North Vancouver’s past and present meet up in The Shipyards District, also known as Lower Lonsdale. In this neighbourhood, you’ll find shipbuilding and where the working tugboats live as well as boutiques, specialty food shops, galleries, craft breweries, distillery, cidery, and restaurants of every description and antique stores.
Lower Lonsdale is North Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood, steeped in history and bursting with shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs that truly capture the unique spirit of the North Shore. The area extends four blocks up Lonsdale Avenue and two blocks east and west, but its heart is at The Shipyards.
"flickr lounge" "Food Glorious Food"...and drink to go with it ;) Our fav Cidery that has great outdoor area seating.
These ciders are made at a small family owned winery and cidery. They produce estate grown and award winning wine set in a vintage 1922 apple packing house. I have enjoyed many flavours over the years!

Glad this one is still there for everyone to enjoy. They had so much character. Merridale Cidery and Distillery is in Cobble Hill, north of Victoria.
Everybody's heard of the Albertan Badlands and the Dakota Badlands but apparently Ontario has some too. The difference is that a geriatric can span ours in, oh, 2 1/2 hours if he doesn't break a hip - though a crow can fly over it in about 5 seconds. And ours has so many people climbing on it at times that it's mistaken for an anthill. By anteaters.

Cliffside Cider brings craft artisan cider to the Sea to Sky area. You can walk or ride your bike to this authentic cidery located in the heart of downtown Squamish. Enjoy great tasting traditional cider with sunny views of the Stawamus Chief and a relaxed atmosphere.

Had the dogs out to Cobbler Mountain Cellars on a very cold Spring day - couldn't miss getting pics of them in the vines - particularly liked how Echo is waiting down the bottom (little black blob down there if you look closely) and Jax is pondering his next move - keeping a close eye on her

Autumn has always been my favorite season. I love the colors, the changes, the weather -- of the season and the heart, the feeling of being terribly alive in the Windswept Country, the putting on of sweaters, the cidery touch of the keepsake breeze, the trinkets that ornament the streets and the meadows, the bare branches of trees that harbor late birds and shadows...memories awakened, a candle in the dark for Hope and love's travels through our lives...and the mysteries that, however briefly, reveal themselves bit by bit to all the senses..
Echo and Jax running between the vines at Cobbler Mountain Cellars - You can just see Jax in hot pursuit of Echo - I think it frustrates him a bit, no longer being able to catch up - but he is 10 and she is just a young whippersnapper of two. Fast as Echo is, I don't think she would have caught Jax back in his prime. It was a super cold day for April, so the dogs were THRILLED, and their humans were bundled up and still shivering.
Behold the apples’ rounded worlds:
juice-green of July rain,
the black polestar of flowers, the rind
mapped with its crimson stain.
The russet, crab and cottage red
burn to the sun’s hot brass,
then drop like sweat from every branch
and bubble in the grass.
They lie as wanton as they fall,
and where they fall and break,
the stallion clamps his crunching jaws,
the starling stabs his beak.
In each plump gourd the cidery bite
of boys’ teeth tears the skin;
the waltzing wasp consumes his share,
the bent worm enters in.
I, with as easy hunger, take
entire my season’s dole;
welcome the ripe, the sweet, the sour,
the hollow and the whole
