This little building has an interesting history. Built in 1875 and formerly St. Leonard’s Anglican Church, it is not currently used as a centre of worship. It was, however designated as a heritage site in 1999 by the Townships of Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan under the Ontario Heritage Act.
Here is a link to a fuller discussion if its interesting history: www.pembrokelibrary.ca/kpl010602/history_project/rcwc/roc...

In der Ev.-Luth. Kirche St. Anna in Augsburg | In the Lutheran Protestant Church of St. Anna in Augsburg
The Goldsmiths' Chapel was built in 1420. It was used for a long time as a place of worship for the goldsmiths' guild, hence its name. After St. Anne's church had become Protestant, it stayed catholic till 1889 and was separated from the Protestant main church by a wall. Only since then it has been a part of St. Anne's church again.
The chapel was restored from 2013-2016.
One of Norfolk’s finest churches. Huge for what is now a small village. Middle Ages Norfolk was very rich from its wool trade with mainland Europe and Cley was an important port. St Margaret’s reflects all this.
It was partially rebuilt starting in the 1320s by master mason William Ramsey whose family worked the Palace of Westminster and parts of Norwich Cathedral. The Perpendicular style nave was completed.
Then the Black Death of the late 1340s arrived. Possibly half of Cley's population succumbed including the rebuilding sponsor and his son. Trade was disrupted and the port impoverished. Further rebuilding, including that of the chancel and the old tower, was abandoned. St Margaret’s somehow brings home to us those days – especially poignant in current times.
The internal lighting is brilliant, much aided by the clerestory windows, alternate two-light and roundels A shaft of sunlight touches the seven sacrament font.

St. Peter"s Cathedral in Marquette, Michigan has been rebuilt several times. Fires have consumed the church, leaving only the exterior sandstone walls that have stood since 1881.
I enjoyed our visit to St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh quite a lot. Beautiful interiors, gorgeous lighting and the right mood for a forthcoming Advent concert.

In the Catholic Church, the Christmas season ends at the earliest on the first Sunday after Epiphany, i.e. tomorrow. Often, however, Candlemas (2 February) is regarded as the end of the Christmas season.

Klagenfurt. Main parish church St. Giles. Ceiling fresco Commending of Carinthia. Ascribed to Josef Ferdinand Fromiller.
I shot this photo from directly underneath the central tower in Lincoln Cathedral, England. It looks almost like a painting on the ceiling but, if you look closely, you can see the double rows of internal arches and the vaults that hold up the roof of the tower.
Although the building of the cathedral started in 1072, the current central tower dates from the 13th century following the collapse of the original tower in 1237. Between 1307 and 1311 the central tower was raised to its present height of 271 feet (83 m). At this time, a tall lead-encased wooden spire topped the tower but this was blown down in a storm in 1548. With its spire, the tower reputedly reached a height of 525 feet (160 m) which would have made it the world's tallest structure at the time, surpassing the Great Pyramid of Giza, which had held the record for almost 4,000 years.
