Floris heeft al tijden een chronische niesziekte. Af en toe wordt hij behandeld met antibiotica als hij er echt ziek van is, maar gelukkig is hij dat meestal niet. Wel vaak een snotneus of een beetje bloed uit de neus wat je als je goed kijkt kunt zien op deze foto.
Floris has had a chronic cat flu for a long time. Occasionally he is treated with antibiotics when he is really ill, but luckily he usually is not. Often a snot nose or a little blood from the nose, which you can see in this picture if you look closely.

My beloved Anya passed away a few hours ago (Sept 4, 2022 - 5:45AM UTC-3), she died in dignity accompanied by our cuddles.
She had a happy and long life, full of love and care.

My sweet Anya is not at her best, she is currently being treated for chronic kidney disease. Although she had treatment and got better, the last few weeks have been complicated, a lot of stress and family complications may have triggered another episode of this damn disease.

Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) is a complication of pulmonary embolism and a major cause of chronic PH leading to right heart failure and death. Lung ventilation/perfusion scintigraphy is the screening test of choice; a normal scan rules out CTEPH. In the case of an abnormal perfusion scan, a high-quality pulmonary angiogram is necessary to confirm and define the pulmonary vascular involvement and prior to making a treatment decision. PH is confirmed with right heart catheterisation, which is also necessary for treatment determination. In addition to chronic anticoagulation therapy, each patient with CTEPH should receive treatment assessment starting with evaluation for pulmonary endarterectomy, which is the guideline recommended treatment. For technically inoperable cases, PH-targeted medical therapy is recommended (currently riociguat based on the CHEST studies), and balloon pulmonary angioplasty should be considered at a centre experienced with this challenging but potentially effective and complementary intervention.

Summer Garden Flowers - Feb 2021 - Santa Gemita-6
Living with chronic health issues is hard and that hit home Thursday evening. I went to go out to chase the aurora, but as I was driving, I became too sick and too weak to keep going. Looking back it was the Lord’s grace to get me back home as I would not have made it and the aurora came much much later than expected. However, there was a second chance of the aurora the following night. I decided to take a chance and this time my wife was able to join me. The conditions were far less favorable as it looked like we would be completely clouded over, so we prayed. We prayed that the clouds would clear and the aurora would hold up long enough. It was supposed to peak between 3-6pm, but instead it peaked between 7-8pm when we were there. The clouds cleared almost entirely and I shot this image just minutes before the moon rose and the aurora faded. The Lord literally made all of this possible! It truly was a redemptive night and one I am very thankful to have had!

Familiar to (chronic) pain all to well this is a theme close to my heart. I had times when I cld hardly make it down the stairs, and I felt so useless and in despair. At times I cldn't even press down the buttons on my camera - and find joy in making photos hoping they bring joy to others. So with this composition I try to show both sides of FM, and all others chronic deseases that can befall joints and restrict movement. We all want to move like a butterfly, yet parts of our insides are hardened and cracked, making us feel like wearing a plaster. On good days we can rise above that and don't feel as much pain and we can fly high, yet the shadow lurks inside, ready to attack at will (or so it seems). On the bad days we are confined, restricted and some of us even bedridden. It is not only tough for us, but also for our loved ones, can we never ever really plan things in detail. Pls remember though: our minds are free, and they can fly high and easy as butterflies, even in the darkest moments.

we saw that juvenile humpack from a far distance breaching multiple times. by the time we got there he breached at least 20 times and gave us at least 2 other full breaches before leaving with a deep dive, Monterey Bay, CA

I think it's safe to say I am partial to historical villages and potential they hold for still life vignettes. I am especially drawn to old bottles. Sherbrooke Village has a wonderful apothecary store full of originally packages bottles, boxes and tins.

Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder that affects about 1.1 percent of the U.S. population age 18 and older in a given year. People with schizophrenia sometimes hear voices others don’t hear, believe that others are broadcasting their thoughts to the world, or become convinced that others are plotting to harm them. These experiences can make them fearful and withdrawn and cause difficulties when they try to have relationships with others. Distortions in perception may affect all five senses, including sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch, but most commonly manifest as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and thinking with significant social or occupational dysfunction. Onset of symptoms typically occurs in young adulthood. Diagnosis is based on the patient's self-reported experiences and observed behavior. No laboratory test for schizophrenia currently exists.
