Call me cynical but someone hiding their face and collecting donations in a bucket for an unregistered 'charity' with handwritten signs... Especially when somewhat startled and a little unhappy to be photographed. Hmmm. Still, it is the season of good will and giving.
In fact, tonight, it is the night before the night before.
Peace, love and joy to you all.

Wishing you all the most wonderful of times this festive season. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
May you have a time filled with peace, love and joy.
It will be just me and my cat, Archie, again this year but Santa did come to visit - early. After meeting up with two fellow Flickr photographers in Glasgow yesterday, which I hope will be repeated, I returned home to find out that someone had gifted a FlickrPro subscription for the next year. Such a generous gift that makes a massive difference in my ability to continue making and sharing my photos with you. My deepest gratitude to them and to you all for continuing to support my photography here on Flickr.
The people in your life are the true gift.
Thank you all.
Stay safe and take care.

If you are fortunate to have the opportunity to spend time today with loved ones, family and friends then please hold those moments dear.
I may not be with my family and friends today but they are in my heart and in my thoughts, as always.
My mum and dad made Christmas a very special time of year and they are missed dearly. Many happy memories fill my heart with peace, love and joy.
I wish such peace, love and joy upon you all. Wherever you are.
Take care.
Peanut decided to join me.

A festive interior view of Covent Garden Market in London, looking up at the spectacular installation of giant Christmas bells and baubles hanging from the historic glass roof. The oversized decorations fill the iconic market hall with reflections and colour, transforming the cast‑iron and glass structure into a dramatic seasonal display.
Each year Covent Garden is known for its large‑scale Christmas installations and lights, turning the 19th‑century former fruit and vegetable market into one of London’s most popular festive destinations for visitors, shoppers and photographers.

Enjoy your Sunday my friends, and thanks for stopping by!
Shoppers at a marshmellow amd smores station (fire) along Sheridan Avenue in Cody, Wyoming after the annual Christmas stroll that kicks off the local holiday season.
This popular shopping street in Vienna was pleasantly quiet this afternoon because it was so unpleasantly cold today—and because today is Tuesday, not Saturday. So apart from the cold, I had no problems with my final Christmas shopping.
Shoppers enter a store along Sheridan Avenue in Cody, Wyoming during the annual Christmas stroll that kicks off the local holiday season.
On this shopping trip we were there for a loooooooooong time, and every time I walked by this end of the mall, this guy was sitting there in the same place! I think he was a bit bored.
I don't mind invitations, but please no big, shiny, flashing, glitter graphics, they will be deleted. Thanks!

some reflective distractions while out celebrating Small Business Saturday, shopping small and supporting local in Baker City, Oregon
One of the best ways to experience a community is by visiting the locally owned independent businesses that reflect the unique and local character of the community. This weekend was a great start to what is definitely a different Christmas season. With lots of COVID precautions in place it was great to see so many folks out spreading holiday cheer and supporting local this weekend for black Friday and Small Business Saturday in Downtown Baker City
The small towns of Baker County offer a cornucopia of local and independent small businesses, many featuring locally crafted products that are made in, and in some cases can only be found in Baker County.
Baker City's historic downtown is one of the largest intact turn of the 20th century historic districts in the American West with over 100 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. today the downtown has been lovingly restored and the historic district is now a thriving downtown home to numerous art galleries, restaurants, micro breweries and local independently owned shops, making it the perfect destination for celebrating the holidays and shopping small unique businesses.

oxford street, december. the bus passed like a brushstroke, red and cream across the frame. beneath it, three people who had never met and never would: the woman in the hijab checking her messages, the couple sharing a screen, the anonymous figures hurrying between them. everyone was somewhere else. the bus knew where it was going. the shoppers knew what they wanted. nobody looked up.

A gift for the Christmas shopper appears to be a gift for the street photographer too. Enjoy!
Relieved at catching the bus home on this very cold late afternoon. The bus passes the town centre and I could not resist a picture of my normal life.
One of Aberdeen’s Christmas market stalls, with Provost Skene’s House in the background. This 16th Century building is the oldest surviving town house in the city, and now holds a museum celebrating the pioneering people of Aberdeen and North East Scotland.
Hope everyone is almost ready for the big day! I went out shopping this weekend and saw this most beautiful clock and knew immediately I would be playing with this one. I hope you are all doing well and you are enjoying your holidays! Take care and big hugs to everyone!
Christmas is my 2nd favorite holiday after Halloween, so obviously I’m already getting prepared! Felt like takin a little adventure by braving through the blizzard currently hitting Ohio and stroll down to the shops on High Street. And wuddya know, contrary to popular belief we got designer boutiques in the midwest too LOL! Guess who I bought this fancy one for? (Me. Obviously.)
For this photo I was very much inspired by the amazing oversized scarf by Boyberry which I made sure be known to Billy that I absolutely LOVE. So I had to make it my centerpiece and work around it. I matched my coat, sweater, boots and earmuffs with hues that compliment the earthy tones of the scarf - which gives nice contrast against the snow, yet blends in with the rustic sceneries typical of winter in America. And I’m so happy with the final results! I think these are personally 2 of my favorite photographs I’ve ever taken 😄
Wuddya think?
