My husband and me in front of the Mdina Glass Christmas Tree in Valletta, Malta.
The Christmas tree, for those of you interested in numbers, is a 7 metre tall Christmas tree made of over 2,000 glass baubles, ranging in size from 5 to 33 cm in diameter. Putting the tree together takes 8 people 2 days!

I took this photo for the Happy Caturday theme "Merry Christmas". This is the only one of my Christmas baubles which has survived generations of cats although they all loved it and Tofu is no exception.:)

Für mich hier in Österreich, die wir das Weihnachtsfest am 24. abends feiern, fällt heuer Smile on Saturday genau auf den Weihnachtstag ! Mir gefiel das Thema so gut, dass ich trotzdem gerne mitmache, entschuldige mich aber gleich, wenn ich mir Eure Bilder dieses Mal vermutlich erst mit Verspätung ansehen kann.

For me here in Austria, as we celebrate Christmas on the 24th in the evening, this year Smile on Saturday falls exactly on Christmas Day ! I liked the theme so much that I gladly like to participate, but I apologize immediately if I can look at your pictures this time probably only with delay.

Smile on Saturday: SELFIE IN A BAUBLE
I had to buy new Christmas ornaments as Linus had destroyed about 50% of my old ones last year. The new ones were cheap (I'm learning) but they are supposed to be unbreakable. I gave one to Linus today for a first test. Surprisingly the ornament has survived the test so far although it has lost some of its colour and Linus is still trying to prove that he will always win in the end.
Jedes Jahr fällt mindestens eine Christbaumkugel herunter und zerbricht. Dieses Jahr war es (bisher) zum Glück nur eine der Kleinen.
Every year at least one Christmas tree ball falls down and breaks. This year (so far) it was fortunately only one of the small ones.

I'm glad that I managed a photo before naughty kitty Linus interfered and finally destroyed my lovely Christmas bauble. The bokeh was created deliberately by draping some silver and blue tinsels over a bush in the background.
Der Begriff Advent leitet sich aus dem lateinischen adventus, deutsch:Ankunft, ab.
Gemeint ist die Ankunft des Herren. Ursprünglisch begann die Adventszeit am 11. November und endete am 6. Januar.
Einst war das eine stille Zeit: Im Advent wurde gefastet, Feiern und Tanzen waren verboten.
Die vier Sonntage stehen symbolisch für die 4000 Jahre, die die Menschen nach dem Sündenfall auf den Erlöser warten mussten.
Eine schöne, ruhige und besinnliche Adventszeit für Euch und Eure Lieben.

Found a small bottle with an old scotch whisky, that was a nice surprise and that small bottle deserved a very sparkling bokeh !
