Kantha for the Bengali folks means embroidered qulit. Kantha is said to be 'Dorukha' meaning turning the worn out and old textiles and fabrics to things of beauty. It is the way the stitch is used, in different arrangements, that forms the complex vocabulary of Kantha.
A Kantha is often referred to as a rural woman's diary as it reflects the rural woman's personal account of her life's events and happenings.
Kantha embroidery has led to socio-economic empowerment of thousands of women of Birbhum. Department of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises & Textiles (MSME&T), Goverment of West Bengal in partnership with UNESCO, is developing a Rural Craft Hub at Nanoor.
Simple run stitches at the hands of skill artists create a magical artwork called as 'Kantha Embroidery'. Kantha making is a 'women's art'. It was the bengali housewife who helped the art to evolve.
The origin of the Kantha craft traces its history to a period not less than a thousand years. since then the tradition has come a long way today when the artistic brilliance of the women artists have found expressions in lifestyle products like saree, dress materials, bed and cushion covers etc. Motifs of nature including animals, birds and flowers are extensively stitched and the art work varies from intricate and heavy to light and simple designs.
There is a large concentration of the women doing Kantha embrodiery in Nanoor block of Birbhum, West Bengal. Around 2000 women of this area are engaged in doing katha embrodiery on different products. About 600 kantha artists are included in the Rural Craft Hub.

Here in Bangladesh we celebrate this new year, with the Art college Student, hey contract statue, prepare banner , and make Musk and some Trolley pulled cart with some National Heritage portrait , and peoples participating to call this celebration ALSO JOIN THE walk in the morning session along with the vice chancellor university of Dhaka and students and teachers of University of dhaka and Art collage Jointly . and thus the day start.

Mayor Councilor Henna Chowdhury watches as Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Shaya Gurary lights a public menorah in Worthing, England on December 20, 2022, the third night of the eight-day holiday of Hanukkah. The menorah is part of Chabad-Lubavitch's worldwide Hanukkah awareness campaign that includes 15,000 large public menorahs in more than 100 countries around the world, including in front of landmarks such as the White House, the Eiffel Tower, and in Trafalgar Square in London. The campaign was launched in 1973 by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, the most influential rabbi in modern history, forever altering the awareness and practice of the festival. The campaign highlights the central theme of the holiday — publicizing the story of the Hanukkah miracle -- and encourages the main practice of lighting ones own menorah at home.
The celebration carries added significance this year as Jewish communities worldwide mark the year of Hakhel, a once-every-seven-years tradition that sees Jewish gatherings focused on unity and Torah learning and practice.
Chabad-Lubavitch’s Hanukkah campaign will reach 8 million Jews in more than 100 countries this year.

Investigation/Abstract Title: A community discussion about Cholera at Comilla in November 2016.
Photo description: There are many misconceptions that exist among the community people about cholera. The causes of cholera and good hygiene practice were not well understood by the community. For this, a community discussion was held at a local house during the outbreak in Bishnupur area of Comilla city corporation, Bangladesh. They shared the views regarding the cholera. Moreover, we gave some health education that might raise awareness regarding cholera and good hygiene practice.
