ENNSTAL-CLASSIC 2008 Chopard Grand Prix

Chopard's delightful colored-diamond pave oak branch, complete with diamond and tsavorite pave leaves and acorns caught my eye the moment I saw it -- and the little gemstone spider and web between the bottom leaves pretty much made the choice a no-brainer for me. I designed a simple strapless ballet length gown, constructed in a heavy matte crepe in a deep rust that plays up Merida's hair and the rust-diamond paved "branch" of the neckpiece. A split neckline showcases the trailing leaves and adorable spider -- I made sure the bodice was structured to avoid the peek-a-boob problem experienced by some PR contestants earlier in the season. After the runway, Nina applauded the unconventional jewelry choice, thought the dress worked well -- but could have been a little bit more unconventional as well. Heidi said the dress wasn't her personal taste, but it was a sweet design for someone...sweeter -- and she loved the spider! Zac, on the other hand, took a good look at the bodice construction and pronounced it superb -- and thought the ballet length was an excellent choice, a more formal expression of the trend to longer skirts in day wear.

Dieser Wagen gehört Dr. Peter Schöggl, welcher bei Fa. AVL in Graz die Racing-Aktivitäten leitet.

Planuncus tingitanus s.l. is a working title for any of the species belonging to the Planuncus tingitanus species group, of the cockroach genus Planuncus (Blattodea: Ectobiinae). As the exact status of some the species in this group can not be determined without more research, the whole species complex is referred to by the name of the oldest species in the group sensu lato (hence the "s.l.").
As such, Planuncus tingitanus s.l. refers to an adventive species, or possibly a complex of cryptic species, that has dramatically expanded it's range over the southern parts of Northwestern Europe in a very short period of time during the first decades of the 21st century.
Species complex?
The animals swarming over Europe are closely related, or possibly even synonymous to Ectobius perspicillaris tingitanus Bolivar, 1914 (later treated as a species in its own right: Ectobius tingitanus), originally described from the most northern part of Morocco. Furthermore they cannot be easily distinguished on any constant morphological traits from Ectobius finoti Chopard 1943, described from Algeria (it had been suggested before that finoti and tingitanus might need to be synonymized). Finally, a third name was added to the mix, when Ectobius vinzi Maurel 2012 was described from France as a new species, after the invaders had become prominently omnipresent in that country.
Until more genetic and morphological research is done it cannot be determined with any certainty if all or some of these species should be synonymized or if maybe even more cryptic species need to be identified. Therefore, Bohn et al. (2013) prefer to identify the animals adventively spreading over Northwestern Europe, as well as the North African specimen (other than the types) as "belonging to the tingitanus-complex". As such, the various species names refer to the respective type specimen exclusively. Meanwhile they erected a new genus Planuncus to group these species with some other closely related (but clearly distinct) species previously in Ectobius and Phyllodromica. Also, a subgenus (Planuncus) was created to hold the species of this tingitanus-group:

Range expansion
Animals of this species (or group) had been known from Spain and southern France at least since the 80s/90s of the 20th century and at least as early as 2005 they have been rapidly expanding north, with first records from Germany dating back to 2007 and records from Great Britain and Belgium since 2011 and 2012 respectively. This was already being monitored by cockroach researcher Horst Bohn and others, but nothing had been published on the matter yet, as there was some doubt on the exact identification, in part due to lack of recent material for genetic analysis from the type locations of Ectobius tingitanus and Ectobius finoti.
Habitat and humans
Quite similar to Ectobius vittiventris, another species of Ectobiinae rapidly moving north in Europe, the animals seem to be more or less dependent on human activity, both for their range expansion and for survival. Being of southern origin, it is not surprising that they seem to thrive best in the relatively warm and sheltered environments provided by buildings and parks or gardens in towns. In this respect they will live much closer to humans than what would be normal for the native species of Ectobiinae and can readily be found on the walls of buildings and may even stray inside. Contrary to similar looking cockroaches such as the German cockroach they will however not likely procreate inside and as such need not be considered to be a household pest.
Meanwhile, these animals had become hard to miss in France, and were partially being misidentified as Ectobius eckerleini or other species, but eventually published as a new species: Ectobius vinzi Maurel, 2012. Unfortunately, Maurel only considered known European species and not the North African species that are a very close match (or even identical). Now, Bohn et al. were prompted to publish the (preliminary) results of their studies "as is", without conclusive (molecular) evidence for the status of the species concerned. Nevertheless resulting in the new genus Planuncus Bohn, 2013.
Specimen from different locations in the newly inhabited range sometimes seem to show slight morphological differences, but not necessarily clearly more than individual variability. Given the sudden, notable range expansion a speciation process might also be considered.

ENNSTAL-CLASSIC 2008 Chopard Grand Prix - Lotus 69F2/4 - Ing. Günther Huber

1970 gründete Jochen Rindt sein eigenes Formel 2-Team, das von Bernie Ecclestone gemanagt wurde. Eingesetzt wurden Lotus 69 vom Werk. Der 1.6 Liter Cosworth FVA-Vierzylinder leistete 236 PS bei 8.800 U/min.
Jochen Rindt gewann vier Rennen: Thruxton, Pau, Nürburgring und Zolder.
Der Ex-Rindt F2 gehörte Joe Willenpart aus Scheibbs (A), der eine einzigartige Kollektion von einsatzbereiten Jochen Rindt - Rennautos samt dem Original-Lotus Formel 1-Transporter besaß.

Le festival de Cannes est un évènement.
Le second évènement le plus médiatique après les jeux olympiques pour contextualiser son attrait.
Si ce dernier voit ses compétiteurs relever les défis tous les 4 ans, le festival de Cannes voit des concourants pour une récompense qui pèse 118 grammes et mesure 13,5 centimètres de long pour 9 centimètres de large en or 18 carats fabriquée par Chopard : la bien nommée Palme d'or.
Il y a d'autres titres à décrocher ; le prix du jury, le prix du jury œcuménique...
Après une année d'annulation, le revoilà. Toujours sous la houlette de Thierry Frémaux et Pierre Lescure qui ont fort à faire tant l'organisation est substantielle.
Lors de mon premier festival de Cannes, j'avais 18 ans, il y a donc 16 ans... Que le temps file.
Fidèle à ce rendez-vous quasiment chaque année depuis.
Le festival international du film de Cannes n'est pas seulement un festival de cinéma, c'est le plus connu de tous, le plus fantasmé, le plus fréquenté, le plus glamour, le plus international.
Comme sur toute la côte d'azur, les yachts sont de sorties, mais aussi les jets privés qui se posent à l'aéroport d'affaire de Cannes La Bocca, quant aux hélicoptères, ils déposent les invités directement sur l'héliport de la croisette.
Les hôtels de luxe souvent réservé une année en avance, du moins en temps habituel hors pandémie.
Ici tout le monde se croise :
Les acteurs et les réalisateurs connus, les moins connus, les techniciens et l'ensemble des travailleurs de l'audiovisuel, les escrocs, des gens de politiques, des gens du monde de la finance, des photographes de mode, des paparazzis, parfois en herbe, moins intéressant aujourd'hui pour eux - les réseaux sociaux ayant fait réduire le tarif de revente de leurs photos - des séducteurs à la petite semelle, des présentateurs télévisés, des tops models, des starlettes, des monstres sacrés, des jeunes, des anciens jeunes, et parmi tout ce monde, quelques passionnés.
Les stars, le glamour, la presse people, et les marches habillées d'un tapis rouge persistent depuis 74 éditions du festival. On ne passera pas à l'ascenseur de si tôt.
Ici l'ancien monde cohabite avec le nouveau monde.
Les soirées caritatives, fréquentées par les grands de ce monde, permettent des levées de fonds pour diverses causes.
Les causes sont toujours traitées, discutées, contestées, les débats sociétaux huilent toujours les mécanismes du cinéma. Au-delà du simple divertissement, le cinéma a de tout temps interrogé, interpellé la société.
Les escabeaux scellés par des antivols ont fait leur installation, ils seront rejoints par leurs spectateurs qui prendront des photos en mode selfies (prise à bout de bras, je précise pour les anciens jeunes dont je fais à présent partie) seuls ou avec les people prenant un bain de foule, cependant, les demandes d'autographes n'ont pas dit leur derniers mots, ils ont toujours la cote.
Les interviews se succèdent à un rythme effréné, que se soit sur les terrasses du palais des festivals, sur des terrasses de grands hôtels, sur des bateaux ou ailleurs.
Même ; si l'on est au sud, ne perdons pas le nord, l'on vient ici pour se montrer ou montrer son art.
Parfois la presse relaye les concours d'égo ou des anecdotes bien moins fades.
Bien que Dunkerque où j'ai grandi soit une ville ensoleillée bien contrairement à ce que pensent beaucoup s'en faisant des clichés, avouons que Cannes la surpasse en ensoleillement, ainsi, il est rare que le mauvais temps s'invite dans la partie à la période habituelle du festival - en mai - qui a été en cette année déplacé à 2 mois plus tard pour dérouler son tapis rouge en juillet, l'occasion faisant le larron, les vacanciers sont plus nombreux cette année à venir gonfler le peuple qui se forme pour le festival.
Le badge d'accréditation est pris en photo et partagé sur les réseaux sociaux par les heureux privilégiés l'ayant décroché à leur demande .
Les tentes blanches du marché du film jouxtent une plage à côté du port de plaisance, c'est ici que se joue une grosse partie du festival pourtant moins visible. La négociation pour la vente des films pour un territoire ou pour l'international débute parfois ou souvent ici.
Le cinéma de plein air qui diffuse les films à la tombée de la nuit, ravi les cinéphiles.
Cette année, Fast and furious 9 y fut un succès sans conteste.
Les pigeons ont été chassés de la ville par l'intervention d'un fauconnier, il ne faudrait pas qu'ils décident de fienter sur les tenues de soirées de grands créateurs. Même si une nouvelle théorie venue d'outre atlantique voudrait que les oiseaux n'existent plus et qu'ils aient tous été remplacés par des drones à leur apparence. Une idée qui mériterait bien un film.
Les marques sont au rendez-vous. Certes un peu moins nombreuses cette année, le Tour de France faisant concurrence, et les principaux évènements d'appels pour les marques qui habituellement font l'ouverture de la saison estivale sont passés.
Dans un marasme sanitaire, de nombreux pays sont absents, les conditions ne permettent pas à tous les citoyens étrangers de voyager librement.
D'ailleurs, en parlant de covid, il en est toujours question. Le protocole sanitaire est strict.
Les Américains sont fidèles au poste, on ignorait encore si ce serait le cas à l'annonce faite du retour du festival, les États-Unis étaient encore alors durement touchés par la crise du coronavirus.
D'ailleurs le genialissime Spike Lee désigné président du jury en 2020 est bel et bien toujours le président du jury cette année.
Le festival de Cannes, c'est aussi un dress code : smoking ou costume (il y a une différence entre les 2) et tenue de soirée, souvent classique pour ces messieurs, certains rivalisent cependant d'originalité comme Spike Lee venu cette année en rose.
Le festival de Cannes cru 2021 cherche à retrouver sa superbe des années précédentes. Comme tous les domaines, le cinéma a souffert, durement, tout particulièrement, mais quelle respiration !
Il y règne une ambiance à chaque fois semblable et pourtant différente.
Cette année, c'est la sublimissime de talent Jodie Foster qui s'est vue recevoir la haute distinction de la palme d'honneur du festival, s'exprimant dans un français bien supérieur à la majorité des Français.
Tout comme les Césars, qu'on apprécie ou non, le festival de Cannes est une institution, un incontournable dans le monde du cinéma.
Fidèle au festival, je n'ai raté que de rares éditions, alors, que j'y sois présent ou non, en espérant que ce soit le cas, quel que soit qui y sera, quels que soient les films qui y seront présentés, je vous dis à l'année prochaine.

The original owner was Louis Chopard, a partner in Chopard and Cosgrove Wholesale and Retail Liquors, who ran his successful business in downtown Seattle. In 1901 Nicholas Theisen purchased this property and maintained ownership until the late 1930s. One of the storefronts was renovated in 1908 to accommodate the Ballard Theater, which was operated for twenty years by pioneer businesswoman S.J. McEntee. She made it a policy to book performers and films that were suitable for even the youngest child. Her theater was modest in scale and she charged only five to ten cents per performance.

It’s a gorgeous day in Cannes. The Crazy Horse girls model Chopard jewels atop the luxurious Z Plage. It’s their first time at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival! Models Fiamma Ross and Rita Casablanca say hello to FashionTV. Rita Casablanca has been dancing with Crazy Horse for 5 years and is now the show manager.
