From Braise.

Off late, Cholesterol has become one of the most important problems in people. It may be due to the increase in the stress

levels or a considerable change in the lifestyle, but the effect it has on people today is very huge. The high cholesterol levels in blood has the capability of affecting the blood flow throughout the body and may eventually be the reason for many heart diseases. So it is better to make diet and lifestyle changes before its too late.

The bodacious but bamboozling buttery bokeh in the top corner has been unsullied by the likes of software tools in order to modify or enhance its already high visual cholestrol content for fear that said vibrance and colorful contrast would be altered to a husk of its former self.

As to how - focus point placed on barbed wire, used 'medium' aperture (f6.3) and zoomed in a bit to remove the unsightly humans from my view, the yellow portions are sunlight. Simple.

Health Fanatic

Around the block – against the clock

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock

Running out of breath – running out of socks

Rubber on the road… flippety flop

Non-skid agility… chop chop

No time to hang about

Work out health fanatic… work out!

The crack of dawn he’s lifting weights

His tell-tale heart reverberates

He’s high in polyunsaturates…

Low in polysaturates…

The Duke of Edinburgh’s award awaits

It’s a man’s life

He’s a health fanatic… so was his wife

A one-man war against decay

Enjoys himself the hard way

Allows himself a mars a day

How old am I – what do I weigh

Punch me there… does it hurt… no way

Running on the spot don’t get too hot

He’s a health fanatic, that’s why not

Running through the traffic jam – taking in the lead

Hyperactivity keeps him out of bed

Deep down he’d like to kick it in the head

They’ll regret it when they’re dead

There’s more to life than fun

He’s a health fanatic – he’s got to run

Beans greens and tangerines

And low cholestrol margarines

His limbs are loose, his teeth are clean

He’s a high-octane fresh-air fiend

You’ve got to admit he’s keen

What can you do but be impressed

He’s a health fanatic… give it a rest

Shadow boxing – punch the wall

One-a-side football… what’s the score… one-all

Could have been a copper… too small

Could have been a jockey… too tall

Knees up, knees up… head the ball

Nervous energy makes him tick

He’s a health fanatic… he makes you sick

I cooked a chicken breast with stewed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, smoked red peppers, onions and diced chilies and several spices in the slow cooker.

I know, I eat a lot of chicken but I got my total cholestrol down from 331 to 85.

I woke up this morning to find myself alone in the house. Quite an unusual occurrence for a sunday morning.

My fab in-laws volunteered to take both the kids overnight and Ange has gone out to shoot portraits for her college work (expect fabness later).

So I decided to open up the windows, pop Little Britain on the iPod dock, blow a few cobwebs out and cook meself a bacon butty!

I almost never cook bacon when Ange is around, it's not that she disapproves of it, although she doesn't like it herself, but there must be some latent, fat-man guilt attached to making these things, probably because it's all fried.

Anyway, my last medical said my cholestrol levels were fine and I'm using low-fat marge spread stuff!

Anyway, a little while ago, Nuala29 posted a 16 things meme thing with a sort of open innvitaion/open tagging thing, so I thought I'd have ago while I drink my tea and wait for the washing to finish.

If I had any kind of interweby knowledge, I'd link to Nuala's pic, but I'm useless. Go look at her whole photostream, its fab...

1. I am allergic to Penicillin. I should wear one of those emergency braclet things or something but I'm not keen on things around my neck or wrist.

2. I hate coffee. I've tried, really I have, but it's just bitter, horrible stuff that makes me feel sick.

3. My dad has alleged that my family is related to Sir Walter Scott, Edgar Allen Poe and Robert Louis Stevenson. It changes everytime you ask him although I think the Poe one would be the coolest.

4. My mum was banned from going to see the Exorcist because she was heavily pregnant with me at the time and the cinema staff though the film would be too shocking for her to watch. Pity, how cool would it be to say, "I was born in a cinema during a showing of the Exorcist"?

5. I have never seen The Godfather.

6. When I was two I had three imaginary friends called Billy, David and Golda.

7. I can fire, strip and clean a shotgun.

8. I cannot legally drive. I failed my theory test when I was 21 and never bothered to take the test again.

9. I have researched a three-part epic supernatural historical western that I am too lazy/timid to write.

10. I cannot roll my 'R's. I don't know why, I just never got the knack.

11. DIY makes me unbelievably angry. I very, very quickly loose my temper with things and have been known to throw hammers at things, although I never once deliberately threw a hammer at Ange, no matter what she might tell you!

12. I find Stanley Kubrick REALLY over-rated.

13. About 80% of the music on my i-Pod I have no recollection of buying or even liking.

14. I met Dave Prowse when I was about nine. He came to my school to give a talk on road safety (he was the Green Cross Code man here in the UK), this was just after Jedi was released and he asked us if we thought it was sad when Luke torched his body on the pyre at the end. My teacher knew how nuts I was for Star Wars and arranged for me to get an autograph (Dave Prowse IS Darth Vader!). I was the only kid in the school to get one. I have long since lost it.

15. I prefer the very first version of Blade Runner, I LIKE the voice over.

16. I once ate six Cadburys Creme Eggs in one go.

I'm supposed to tag 16 other people but that feels like too much hard work.

Also, I completely screwed this up because it's supposed to be self portrait.

Pah!

Satay Beehoon (沙爹米粉).

I had this for dinner. It was delicious....but as is the case with all yummy food, so very bad for my cholestrol level. LOL!

The best part of this tantalising dish is the generous dollop of the smooth peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is similar to the one served with satay (sticks of barbecued meat), thus the name satay beehoon.

Olive trees are most durable trees in the world . Because of including Olea Europaea which is against the diseases and harmfull items, these trees keep on themselves for a long time.

Many microorganisms have gotten resistance against anti-biotics for over 40 years. Many dieseases that were cured by antibiotics in the past are not treated the dieases anyway in nowadays.Getting resistance of bacteries or microbes against medicines are the results of misused or overused antibiotics. Therefore , Oleuropein and its hydrolysis presented in olive leaves are very effective and valuable components over microorganisms which get resistance against antibiotics.

Up to now ,100 components had been obtained in the olive leaf . These components are changing according to olive trees’ cultural precautions , growned region and harvested time. The phenolic and flavanoid compounds in the olive leaves provides resistance for the human body against disease by strenghtening the immune system.60-90 mg/gr Oleuropein compound has been in the leaf .Oleuropein is the most effective component of the olive leaf.

This component is also a sekoiridoit glucoside by having therapeutic effect. When olive leaf is taken as a tea or extract ,Oleuropein transforms to elenoic acid by these two enzymes , esteraz and beta glucozidaz . This component has a strong antibacterial effect , especially it has a killing effect over pathogenic bacteries.

Olive leaf extract is the extract by the green colored appareance for aiming to get the active component,Oleuropein, of the olive tree leaves (Olea europaea) and obtained /produced by physical and chemical extractation methods.By having 100 components ,it has also A Vitamin of 250 mcg , Selenium of 40 mcg , C Vitamin of 250 mg, Askorbil-palmitat of 20 mg. in it.This phyto-chemical extract is extremely beneficial for health and it is final product with its non-toxic properties. The usage of olive leaf extract is more easy than olive leaf tea and is widely used in the world market.Olive leaf extract comprises olive leaf components as concentrated. In other words, while one gram of olive leaf includes % 5 Oleuropein , 1gr. olive leaf extract includes %20 Oleuropein.

It is commercially available in liquid and solid form.

Sometimes additional ingredients are added to poutine. This one contains sliced sausage. This is my son's poutine, this is with sliced sausages. dill - 蒔蘿

hollandaise - 荷蘭醬 (蛋黃,檸檬汁,奶油等攪拌成)

What you see here: Nasi Goreng [fried rice] , Chicken Satay [BBQ chicken meat covered with spicy curry-flavoured peanut gravy], Kerupuk[Prawn cracker], Chicken Drumstick Curry, Sunny side-up Egg, Shrimp & Acar [Hot Vegetable Pickles with sesame seeds]

These are Hobo Eggs.

Lightly grease griddle with olive oil (you can use butter but olive oil is better for you). Heat gridle to a medium heat. Then take out a juice glass, some glass with a small diameter and cut the center out of the bread. Lightly brush olive oil over pieces and bread. Place bread on hot griddle. Wait a bit to brown and then crack eggs into middle. I used one complete egg and then 1 egg white only. (To keep the cholestrol down) You can't really use egg white substitute for these. Then just let cook till egg is cooked half way through and bottom is solid, flip. Let cook the till other side is brown. Plate up, lighty salt and enjoy.

All winter, I just felt lifeless but had no particular pains or other symptoms. Then I was diagnosed as having high blood pressure for which the doctor prescribed Ixia Plus (there is apparently no English equivalent). The Ixia Plus seems to be working well bringing my blood pressure down to 134 over 74.

The blood test I was given as part of the package showed an elevated level of cholesterol so I was put on a diet – no salt – no caffeine etc.

Then I started getting angina type pains in my chest. The two ECGs that I was given were normal, so today I was sent to the Cardiologist in Orihuela who has prescribed more tablets for me to take (Adiro to thin the blood and Cardyl to reduce the cholesterol) and gave me three months prescriptions for each.

End result - I now have a wad of prescriptions all with different dates. At this rate I’ll need to book a seat at the chemists.

The good news is all the prescriptions are red which means I don’t have to pay for any of them including the junior asprin. Just as well, between Pam and me, we have six prescriptions per month!

We couldn’t have afforded to be this ill in England.

I had my first Carl's Jr burger tonite - the Super Star with Cheese. And I'm in love. And my cholestrol may have possibly just shot through the roof. I'm not usually a fan of fast food, especially after watching Super Size Me and reading Fast Food Nation. But, sometimes the craving sets in and you just gotta give. No more Burger King for me. Carl, you're the one for me. :)

Medical Uses

Alfalfa has been used as an herbal medicine for over 1,500 years. Alfalfa is high in protein, calcium, plus other minerals, vitamin A, vitamins in the B group, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, and vitamin K.

[edit] Traditional Uses

In early Chinese medicines, physicians used young alfalfa leaves to treat disorders related to the digestive tract and the kidneys. In Hindu societies, ayurvedic physicians used the leaves for treating poor digestion. They made a cooling poultice from the seeds for boils. At the time, alfalfa was also believed to be helpful towards people suffering from arthritis and water retention.

[edit] Modern Use

It is used in homeopathic medicines worldwide. Today, alfalfa is suggested for treating anemia, diabetes, to extend appetite and contribute towards weight gain, as a diuretic for increased urination, for indigestion and bladder disorders, alfalfa can also be used as an estrogen replacement in order to increase breast milk and to mitigate premenstrual syndrome, a dietary supplement, and to lower blood cholestrol levels.[4]

Home Remedies are not a new origin. This type of treatment has fallen to the wayside for many of the years. It has been used by a lot of people from that time. But, during the last two decades, there has been an increase in the demand for home remedies that work. This rebirth in fact has happened for a number of reasons. If you haven’t been able to determine if a home remedy is the correct thing for you to do, then you should start to discover why that is. You may find that there are plenty of benefits to using home remedies yourself.

Some of the Medical Side Effects:

A lot of people believe in home remedies for their sicknesses because of what is happening to them right now. For instance, if you're suffering from arthritis, you're believably taking a lot of dissimilar medicines to counteract the pain that you're facing. Your doctor gives you chemically made products that are artificial and offer a particular benefit. Some will stop the progress of the arthritis while other people trigger the pain that you face. But, most of the medicines that you take for this condition or others may result in side effects. Most chemically based products do have side effects since your body isn’t designed to react well to chemically based products.

You will not fin a lot of side effects in herbal, natural and some other home remedies. This is one of the most important reasons that people are rushing towards home remedies.

Some of the important reasons to Use Home Remedies.

Other then the above here are some of the reasons to the use home remedies. The main reason is that they are very simple to use. It is not necessary to have a prescription and you don’t need to pay an outrageous amount of money for most of them.

Home Remedies is still quite important that you insure that the home remedies that you consider are those that can provide you with the greatest care and possibility of healing. If you will not offer yourself with a quality cure, then you do need to consider other methods. Don’t stop taking medications because of a home remedy but compliment them!
