Each of my trips into New York City usually begin and end in Manhattan's Chinatown. That's because I take overnight Richmond-Chinatown buses.

It's a great place to catch a fast bite and find good prices on souvenirs.

Chinatown, early morning. People shuffling to their jobs. A world lost in time. A sight the late rising tourists rarely see.
