Sometimes when you lose your way in the fog, you end up in a beautiful place. Don’t be afraid of getting lost!

This is a very calm Loch Carrie in Glen Cannich on a beautiful crisp winter morning.

The snow covered peaks in the distance are the eastern Glen Affric Munros, but this viewpoint was about as high as I went!

Last month, while we were in Vancouver visiting family and friends, our friend Yasushi kindly took us hiking at Joffre Lakes, which is a beautiful hike and is located just north of Pemberton (north of Whistler). During the hike, I took this photo at the second of three glacial lakes.

A very crisp and chilly sunset at Bass Lake, Ca is a welcome sign to our changing season! Hopefully more weather is headed our way to end our severe drought!

Snow transforms the twilight Gambel Oak forest. It is piling up now in Utah's Wasatch. Drought risks recede.

But they are very hot when you eat them.

Another wonderful winter lighthouse on Lake Michigan. This is south of the last which is Grand Haven, this is in South Haven. I don't think this year is likely to give me these ice encrusted lighthouses but I can always hope for next year.

Please enjoy the icy details in Large.

Thank you so much for your visit!

Winter decided to take one last shot at us yesterday with cold fast wind. During some of the worst of it, I looked out my window and this little fellow was all puffed up right as close to the house as he could get in the rhododendron shrub. He did not fly when he spotted me. Thankfully it is supposed to get to 62 Degrees F. today with sun.

This youngster is having a hard time - the loch is almost completely frozen and if it doesn't move it will starve

I love to find chilly bees in the morning and watch them warm in the sun. I was so happy to find this one and already have my camera focused for when she started moving. I posted the warmed up bee picture in a previous post.
