Slice sea snail and fresh fish, cuttle fish & chicken balls with vermicelli noodles.

You can't beat the simple goodness of fresh clean flavours. Although I could have done without the green beans, they were perfectly cooked (not mushy nor raw stringy) and added some sort of vegetal matter to this mainly meat centric dish. I asked for the classic soup to be slightly spiced (which is available in another menu offering) of which the restaurant kindly complied (although it was very subtle, so I used additional chili peppers on my protein nuggets). Each fish and chicken ball was gently poached in the milky fish broth (refreshing, light simple flavours); they were fluffy-dense, and almost springy.

This bowl of pure comfort was so satisfying on a cold winter day. I enjoyed every hearty bite of my noodle soup and although would have liked to have ended my visit with one of the restaurant's housemade desserts (tofu pudding? Mango and Pomelo dessert?) I was too stuffed to do so.

Known for their fish soups/stocks from scratch, Omega 3 satisfied any cravings for pure wholesome goodness. Simple and clean flavours, without the MSG. Even their fish balls, etc are all made in store from scratch. Pick your choice of proteins, your noodles and soups. The flavours are very light (which I like), so be prepared if you like things overly seasoned (i.e. not on the bland side). If only they had a downtown location.

I had mushroom chow mein, the noodles are nestling under the vegetables it was quite yummy...

Freshly made fish, chicken and shrimp meat balls in Omega 3's housemade (and MSG free) fish stock. Besides chunks of silken tofu and sliced napa cabbage were sliced of carrots. Topped by a handfull of green onions and sprinkle of sesame seeds, this was a light and super healthy accompaniment to our meal.

This is my own creation.

The Chinese characters & name would be given later, as I am still working on the programme.

We interrupt the Paris photos to celebrate Canada Day. And what's more Canadian than icky greasy chicken balls? Ordered for my sister-in-law for dinner last night. Check out the grease burning through the box!

Ordered for delivery from China Gourmet (235 Carlton Street). Unfortunately, eaten in our apartment, Toronto.

Just announced this morning, a mini #foodtruckeats popup with @elgastronomo served from 11:30-1:30 a block west of King + Church. Great food and guest chef Francisco Alejandri from Agave & Aguacate

come in boxes that have held chicken balls.

Chicken curry balls, that is. :P
