WNBA At U of D

The home of the DePaul Blue Demons and Chicago Sky WNBA basketball teams was completed at 200 E. Cermak Rd. in 2017. Pelli Clarke Pelli were the architects. Like the next-door Marriott Marquis Chicago, the 10,387-seat arena (for basketball) was financed in large part with TIF money.

Chicago sports history was made today here. The Sky, after a lackluster 16-16 regular season, tore through the WNBA postseason to defeat the Phoenix Mercury, 80-74 (with a blistering 26-11 4th-quarter advantage) and take the finals, 3 games to 1, and bring the city its first WNBA championship. Photograph taken before the 2:00 p.m. start.

Josie and Jill brought home a food-grade plastic glove with seeds in each finger. Although they were labelled different things (radishes, lettuce, collards, basil, can't remember the 5th label), the sprouts look suspiciously similar.

Put the team name on the ass and I'm obliged to take a picture of it.
