Today, several friends and I drove to the New York Botanical Garden to see the Dale Chihuly exhibit.
I hope he pays his agent a lot b/c he is everywhere!!!
For me, the fun of Chihuly is the "innards".
This is part of a large "tree" that sits outside the Conservatory.

La iglesia pertenece a la archidiócesis católica de Ho Chi Minh. La arquitectura de la iglesia presenta un estilo romano. Es la segunda iglesia más grande de Ho Chi Minh.
The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus or Church of Tan Dinh is a church built during the time of the French government at the beginning of the 20th century, when Vietnam was part of French Indochina. The church belongs to the Catholic Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh. The architecture of the church is in a Roman style. It is the second largest church in Ho Chi Minh.
L'Església del Sagrat Cor de Jesús o bé Església de Tan Dinh és una església construïda durant l'època del govern francès a principis del segle XX, quan el Vietnam era part de la Indoxina francesa. L'església pertany a l'arxidiòcesi catòlica de Ho Chi Minh. L´arquitectura de l´església presenta un estil romà. És la segona església més gran de Ho Chi Minh.
Casa Macchi è una tipica dimora borghese di provincia, che si è conservata intatta per centocinquanta anni e che Maria Luisa Macchi, unica e ultima proprietaria, ha lasciato per testamento al FAI nel 2015, con una generosa dote necessaria ai restauri e alla gestione, perché divenisse “un museo vivo che dia lustro a Morazzone”.
Dopo 4 anni di lavori per un accurato restauro, da non molto è stata aperta al pubblico che ha risposto con grande entusiasmo.
Io, storico socio FAI da oltre 20 anni, non l'avevo mai visitata. Dai volontari mi è stato riferito che nei fine setttimana i visitatori superano sempre le 350 unità.
Per chi abitasse in zona consiglio vivamente di andarci e, perchè no, magari iscriversi al FAI.

A couple doing Tai Chi on the Halifax waterfront boardwalk. A container ship just happened to be coming into port during their graceful movements.
Chi Lin Nunnery (Chinese: 志蓮淨苑; Jyutping: zi3 lin4 zing6 jyun2; Cantonese Yale: Jilìhn Jihng Yún) is a large Buddhist temple complex located in Diamond Hill, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was founded in 1934 as a retreat for Buddhist nuns and was rebuilt in the 1998 following the traditional Tang dynasty architecture. The temple halls have statues of the Sakyamuni Buddha, the goddess of mercy Guanyin and other bodhisattvas. These statues are made from gold, clay, wood and stone.
The temple halls and the Chinese garden in front of the nunnery are open to the public daily free of charge. It doesn't show in this shot but the temple is surrounded by modern high rise buildings creating an interesting contrast with the temple buildings, ponds and bonsai.
