From a recent visit to meet my stepson's adorable new kitten....and I thought it was tricky catching dragonflies in a resting position!
My stepson's very characterful cat Chewie looking quite affronted at his garden being taken over for a barbeque :)
This is Chewie, a regular visitor to our allotment. She is the friendliest wee girl, however I now know her mum, and when at her house she is completely different, not friendly at all! Her sister and nephew, however are very friendly at home but won't go near anyone at the allotment. Aren't cats funny!

Loving these guys :) Finally, to have a proper Chewie and a damned fine Han in 1:6 scale... things have come on in leaps and bounds (unfortunately including the price, but I didn't need *both* kidneys) since my first 12" Han & Chewbacca, the original Palitoy/Kenner versions, way back when.
Heck, I'm giggling like a schoolgirl each time I play with these new chaps :D
This is Chewie, aka Chewbacca, who I met in the supermarket today. His owner and I got chatting in the pet food aisle whilst he just lay down and looked cute
well, wanted to catch a shot of her spinning toward me but this capture will have to suffice for now... she had been trotting right to left along the tracks seen in the foreground snow, then... a jump and spin about 80 degrees as thought going after something, not sure what she saw but suddenly sniffing the dead plant top left became her top priority, hehehe

. . . Wish it were Sunday
That's my fun day
My I-don't-have-to-run day"
Bangles, Manic Monday.
Chewie certainly LOOKS manic, doesn't he? Of course, the picture WAS taken Sunday morning, so . . . .
On the balcony of my apartment. The first in an irregular series of shots of Chewbacca on location :)
Young Chewie McMoowie, what a beautiful animal, and quite inquisitive too!
Highland cattle are a Scottish cattle breed. They have long horns and long wavy coats that are coloured black, brindle, red, yellow, white, silver (looks white but with a black nose) or dun, and they are raised primarily for their meat.
They originated in the Highlands and Western Isles of Scotland and were first mentioned in the 6th century AD. The first herd book described two distinct types of Highland cattle but, due to crossbreeding between the two, only one type now exists and is registered. They have since been exported worldwide.
They are a hardy breed due to their native environment, the Highlands of Scotland. This results in long hair, giving the breed its ability to overwinter. Bulls can weigh up to 800 kilograms (1,800 pounds) and cows up to 500 kilograms (1,100 pounds). Their milk generally has a very high butterfat content, and their meat, regarded as of the highest quality, is gaining mainstream acceptance as it is lower in cholesterol than other varieties of beef.
