We are giving away a brand new Kawasaki Jet Ski, STX-15F. Give away date is APRIL 17th 2pm. MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
From Jetski.Com (http://www.jetski.com/article.cfm?id=559) -
Kawasaki Smart Steering can assist riders in learning to negotiate turns and to maneuver, making turning easier and smoother. Experienced riders may not feel the system functioning since they realize throttle application is required during turning.
Assisting with low-speed maneuvering is a reverse bucket that is shaped to deliver optimum thrust for more precise direction control when backing, and the bucket is injection molded to eliminate corrosion.
Aggressive turning and high-speed stability are key performance attributes of the STX-15F. Based on the racing-inspired JET SKI 1200 STX-R® model, the one-piece fiberglass hull increases durability while reducing weight, and new injection molded sponsons designed specifically for the STX-15F feature a special “lip” for increased cornering grip and high-speed stability. The hull also features a molded-in Kawasaki Splash Deflector to help minimize spray on the rider.
With its muscular, aggressive look, the STX-15F is lighter and more compact than the competition, yet Kawasaki engineers have created a spacious riding position that makes aggressive performance riding easier and suits a wider range of riders.
The stylish hatch cover is constructed from ABS plastic, adding to the fresh, high-quality styling of the STX-15F, and a hydraulic damper holds the hatch cover open, allowing easy access until the rider closes it. The mirrors are also made of ABS plastic and are mounted directly to the deck, adding to the sleek lines.
The open rear deck of the STX-15F features abundant space for getting into water skis or a wakeboard, and reboarding in deep water is simplified with the automatically retracting boarding step located at the rear of the hull. The rear deck can also accommodate a cooler or other items needed for a day on the water. Other features include a water-resistant storage space, an easily accessible glove box and additional storage space located under the seat.
For extended rides, fuel capacity is a generous 16.4 gallons. Other features include a LCD instrument panel so the rider can monitor the fuel level, speed, engine rpm, trip distance and time. Warning lamps alert the rider to low fuel level or high engine temperature, and a magnetic keyed ignition switch helps deter unauthorized operation.

With its leading-edge four-stroke engine and racing-inspired hull, Kawasaki’s JET SKI® STX®-15F personal watercraft provides the precise handling and awe-inspiring acceleration demanded by serious enthusiasts. It also provides the comfort and convenience features for families who want the highest quality three-passenger watercraft.
The legendary NINJA® ZX-12R motorcycle engine provided the starting point for this award-winning JET SKI model. While the bore is the same as that of the smaller JET SKI STX-12F, the stroke is 13.8mm longer, increasing displacement to 1,498cc. This long stroke design delivers a flat torque curve for a smooth spread of power across the entire rpm range. Dual overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, fuel injection and electronic engine control, which harmonizes the fuel and ignition systems, provide maximum performance and reliability.
The fuel injection system utilizes four injectors and a large 60mm throttle body to deliver a quick response exceeding that of the fastest four-stroke watercraft on the market.
Even with such high-performance attributes, the STX-15F has earned a Three-Star Ultra-Low Emissions rating, meeting the Environmental Protection Agency’s strictest standards, and the California Air Resources Board standards for 2008.

For Chevrolet, 2009 brings a number of new features to the Cobalt that improves its standing in the tech-heavy feature department. But as you might assume for a small, economical vehicle, a navigation system isn’t on the options list.
The standard features on the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt vary across the trim levels, but ConsumerGuide says that buyers can expect to find one year of OnStar service, "air conditioning...AM/FM/CD/MP3 player, digital-media player connection, [and] satellite radio" on every Chevrolet Cobalt. The new USB port for iPod connectivity in the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt is a welcome addition for music lovers. Moving up to the LT trim level brings a "keyless entry system, cruise control and power windows and mirrors," according to Kelley Blue Book. Meanwhile, ConsumerGuide reports that the top-of-the-line Chevrolet Cobalt SS gets a "leather-wrapped steering wheel w/radio controls, cruise control, Pioneer sound system, [and] wireless cell phone link." Bluetooth connectivity is another key addition for 2009 and a feature that was conspicuously absent in the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt lineup.
Reviews read by TheCarConnection.com show that there isn't much to report about stand-alone features for the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, since most of the major items are included as standard in the various trim levels. However, for those who are interested, ConsumerGuide says that an "upgraded sound system...power sunroof" and "leather upholstery" are available for the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt.
Conclusion
The addition of Bluetooth and iPod capabilities brings the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt into the 21st century.

A 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LT on display at the Ottawa-Gatineau Autoshow.
I kind of wish that General Motors hadn't dropped the magic letters "SS" from the Cobalt line, but I'll fully admit that the rear spoiler that the Cobalt LT that GM had on display does heighten the appeal beyond a regular sporty compact, even if it's probably there just for looks and not actually to provide downforce.
Also, for photography purposes, I wish that most of the cars at the show had had their hoods down, since having it up is kind of the equivalent of having your fly open.

From Jetski.Com (http://www.jetski.com/article.cfm?id=559) -
The four-stroke engine is rubber-mounted in the hull and includes a water-jacketed, performance-tuned exhaust system, dual mufflers and large-capacity airbox.
The STX-15F utilizes a direct drive axial-flow jet pump connected to an oval-edge, stainless steel, three-blade impeller and an 82mm jet pump nozzle for powerful acceleration. Equally important, the STX-15F engine produces its peak power at a relatively low rpm while matching the impeller’s peak efficiency rpm, thus eliminating the need for a complicated gear reduction unit. The result is improved durability, reduced vibration and noise, and improved fuel economy.
The STX-15F is also equipped with Kawasaki Smart Steering® (KSS®). The Kawasaki Smart Steering system features a steering sensor that is electronically linked to an on-board microprocessor. If the handlebar is fully turned in either direction and the engine rpm drops from a designated rpm, such as when the throttle is released at speed, the microprocessor activates the KSS, which raises engine rpm to provide enough thrust to initiate the desired turn.

Last Call
So back to those changes. I like the metallic tones. Both Yamaha and Sea-Doo have also begun to dress up entry models, perhaps realizing that the people buying them aren’t always cash-strapped kids, but rather prudent adults. It gives a fresh look to what was becoming an all-too familiar looking machine.
The price, however, is a tougher sell. The 15F always got rave reviews because it was such a great bargain, a solid, powerful machine at a K-Mart special of a price. Now, at $8,999, it’s increased almost $1000 in two years.
Yes, it’s still a good value, and a powerful standout in its class. The competition, however, just closed the gap a little…and Kawasaki helped them do it.

It’s Potent
The STX-15F has always stood out in the entry-level market because it is in fact a one-time flagship model, now simply handed down as a result of bigger and better offerings that have come in the years since its introduction.
The STX-15F packs a lot of punch for an entry-level craft.
The STX-15F packs a lot of punch for an entry-level craft.
At 160 horsepower, the engine is noticeably more potent than the competition. The 1,498cc four-cylinder with dual overhead cams powerplant pushes the boat to peak speeds of 62 mph, and helps the boat accelerate out of the hole to reach 30 mph as quick as 2.0 seconds. The boat’s direct competition doesn’t compare, topping out closer to the 55mph mark (or less), and taking a full second longer in acceleration.
Too potent for the novice crowd? I don’t think so. I’ve always contended that the boat is a good bargain precisely because it has that power. The 15F will grow with a newcomer as their skills improve, rather than get relegated to a trade-in should the owner long for more power. Kawi’s race-proven, deep-V hull also walks a fine line; it’s predictable enough to make beginners feel comfortable, but can carve amazingly well should the driver have the skills to push its limits.
The boat also has the low-end grunt necessary to make skiing and wakeboarding enjoyable tasks. It pulls hard out of the hole, and holds a pretty steady speed without the “twitchy throttle” feeling that diminishes the towing experience on some watercraft.

Specs-tacular
Introductory models need to be versatile. The Kawi’s capacities are at the top of the class. The STX-15F holds 16.4 gallons of fuel, and provides 23.5 gallons of storage space. The latter offers a generous front tub area to bring the majority of your belongings for the ride, along with a glovebox and small compartment under the aft section of the seat. Kawasaki’s instrumentation is very good, easy to see in sunlight and displaying speed in a large readout. A spring-loaded boarding ladder is at the ready when it comes time to remount in deep water, and theft prevention is handled through a magnetic key system that has a float should you accidentally drop it in the drink.
Kawi covers off-throttle steering with an electronic solution that increases pump thrust should the throttle be abruptly cut and handlebars turned hard to port and starboard. In theory, the system should lessen those panic situations where a newcomer would naturally release the throttle when encountering an obstacle by providing some directional thrust. Along the same safety lines, a second key can be used to limit the boat’s RPM when younger drivers, or newcomers are in control.

Familiar Refrain
So what’s not to like? The familiar refrain — reverse and (maybe) ergonomics.
The reverse situation is simple. The handle is located on the port side of the console, meaning you can’t apply throttle and varying degrees of reverse at the same time for enhanced control. In theory it’s to keep a driver from pulling on reverse while cruising along at 60 mph, but in practice most drivers are skilled enough to appreciate the benefits of being able to feather both controls in a tight area.
The ergonomic issue comes down to your body type and riding style. Some bigger riders may find the boat slightly low slung and cramped. Performance types may find they prefer it as the placement puts you low to the water in an aggressive posture. It’s purely a judgment call, so try before you buy whenever possible.
Green Cobalt, I don't much favour for this car because its green, but whatever, it still needed to be photographed.

Yep.. I own a Chevy! <3
I got this 2006 Chevy Cobalt when I was in HS and I have driven the hell out of it. From going to school to work... and several road trips. This car is my baby and has seen its share of the road! So to talk about the 11th day of this year. I spent it hanging out with my friend and taking some fun photos around a park. This is one of the many that I took and I have to say I had a great time eating Chicl-Fil-A with my girlfriend after we got done shooting.
