Veteran special

Smashburger offered free double cheeseburgers to veterans on Veterans Day. I happily gobbled up my free burger (and my not-free Smashfries.)

Finances are not my strong suit, but I made one good financial decision that continues to benefit me: joining the military. Stationed overseas, on a small island, with nothing to spend my money on, I paid off my car loan and my student loans. I used my GI bill for a free Masters degree. I bought my current home with $0 down thanks to a VA loan. And, on Veterans Day, I got a free double cheeseburger.

(I guess I can also thank the military for instilling a habit of running, which allows me to eat the aforementioned free double cheeseburger and still fit into my short shorts.)

If you're not familiar with our Cheeseburger Fund, I'll explain it quickly before I have to hit the road again.

The idea (and hope) is that every person can make a small donation and help pay for the next cheeseburger that will help me save the next dog.

As you can see in all my videos, the dogs really appreciate the cheeseburgers, and it really helps them overcome their fear of humans who many times were not nice to them.

To make a small donation to the Cheeseburger Fund, please visit our website: www.HopeForPaws.org

Thanks :-)

Another funky cheeseburger shot. I enjoy doing these cause the kids like seeing how it ends up. Original taken with iPhone camera then played with in image blendr and juxtaposer. Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking.

I am always hearing from other people how great the hamburgers are at some chain restaurant. Every town I have ever been to has at least one place that serves a much better burger than any of the chains. This very tasty classic cheeseburger is served at Dallas Mill Deli in Huntsville, Alabama. It is among the best in the area, much better than any of the chain burgers, and at a lower cost.

I've been driving past this restaurant for quite a while now and I wanted to stop in and try a burger.

I wasn't disappointed, from the moment I walked into the restaurant I was greeted by very friendly staff who made a couple of suggestions from the menu. I was pretty impressed with burger that I ordered. The fries were also fantastic

I always order a #3, Well done, extra spread and chilies with a cold Dr. Pepper.

Going through my Grafmatics and developing film to figure out when my Smartflex broke and how many shots I lost. I’m positive it was broken by the time I shot my last shots with it on the trip at South of the Border. So here’s something from there that I shot earlier this year. Leica R4, Fuji Color 200 (USA), ECN-2 development.
