Modern rail car water system. It is a German-built car, if I am not mistaken.

The green pipe is ten inches in diameter and has about 800 1/2 inch holes in it. I drove it into the lake bottom a foot with a sledge hammer and sealed the bottom of it and around it and the screening to hold everything in place. It's filled half way up with gravel and when I stop hurting I'll put about 6 more buckets of it in there and I'll have a two foot in diameter prefilter and eventually I'll add a second lake screen with very fine holes and run a lawn pump. The rocks will filter the fine floating pieces of weeds out like a pool filter does with sand and my sprinkler heads will stay clear much long that just using a lake screen hanging off the dock. I need a place to hide the dirt from under the house for
The Top Secret Bunker so I'm trying to talk the people that have the lot next to me into building them a dock and sea wall and if so I'll move mine out to the string so the one I built for the neighbors on the other side, mine and the empty lot will be all tied together and therefore a lot stronger.
I'm going to low ball the job to get it mostly cause it will make it a lot harder for the gators to get in the back yard and during these droughts the bottom of my current seawall is often above ground and the dogs jump down there when I'm not looking...
I actually almost did the same thing last year and had a gator about 6 foot long jump up and dive into the lake but I was as close to it as the water was before I saw it LOL.
Don't play with gators.
They might be cute but they're not pets.

800 holes. I sunk it into the lake bed a foot and secured it with 80 pounds of concrete. I'll add a second screen of mesh around it and fill it with gravel then that will give me a large supply of water for the sand movie device plus I will add a second well screen inside it to irrigate my lawn. The lake water is full of dissolved nurtients that will be a weak form of fertilizer everythime I water thelawnand when I extend the sea wall it will be just outside of it for easy access and so I can mount a pump.

It is adjusted so the force of water running up will keep it centered in T Valve and now uses off the shelf Parts.
I'll inject water here to prime the big pump and then thin the slurry so it can be pumped about 200 feet without settling.
I can look away and just forget so I am in a habit of taking pictures as a lazy way of keeping notes...
I'll need to make a grating to keep anything bigger than an inch from getting sucked in and pour a smooth coat of concrete around the bucket and leave it in place since it will be less likely towear down that sand moviing across concrete.
I drove it down with a block of 4 by 4 and a sledge hammer about a foot into the lake bottom then I put 80 pounds of concrete around the bottom to hold it in place.
It will set overnight.

The sand sucking from under the house shoot it out into the back yard without breaking my back using a wheel barrow device.

When the cable is stretched tight it is withing 1/2 inch of being centered in the T which is the widest area internally so it should let the maximum amount of flow by it.
The length of pipe is meant to keep the plug in a horizontal position when it drops back into place.

I couldn't think of a good reason it wouldn't work upside down so i hung it from the celing.
