The red panda (Ailurus fulgens) is a mammal species native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List because the wild population is estimated at fewer than 10,000 mature individuals and continues to decline due to habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching, and inbreeding depression.[1] Despite its name, it is not closely related to the giant panda.(Wikipedia)

A very different one for me. Taken at Haworth station one evening. The driver was checking the fire while awaiting setting off.

A relatively simple colour palette though had to shoot this at 12800 ISO on my Z9.

Because the loco is in black it needed a border to frame the scene and so I used a complimentary colours to balance it all. All in all, a very rare image for me as I am actually happy with it!

This Scaly-breasted Munia gave me a quick look and then headed off to the upper reaches of a nearby tree - with the rest of his friends ! I guess I got a little too close but don't worry they soon returned !! The plentiful seeds along the Meadowbrook at the Los Angeles County Arboretum made certain of that !
