The dog wanted that bone, it wanted it more than anything else. Oblivious to his surroundings, he continued to chase after the bone, pounding the ground with each paw. Relentless, hungry and hopeful, the dog was happy.

During my weekly walk along the Chase Water I came across this sunset at dusk around 9.30 p.m. After this shoot been taken I been there several times again but I can't get this image anymore.

Location & Description
Irrawong Reserve occupies an area of approximately 4.5 hectares in the suburb of North Narrabeen, 22 km north of Sydney's CBD. It is located between the Ingleside escarpment to the west and the Warriewood Wetlands to the east, with Garden Street forming the boundary between Irrawong Reserve and the Warriewood Wetlands.

Irrawong Reserve contains 3 plant communities:
Swamp Mahogany Open Forest with Wet Sclerophyll understorey
Swamp Mahogany Open Forest with Reed understorey
Lilly Pilly Closed Forest
Animals
Irrawong Reserve and the adjacent Warriewood Wetlands provide significant habitat for birds.Regionally significant species include the Brown Gerygone which is at its southern limit and the Topknot Pigeon which is a summer migrant and a rainforest vector.
Swamp Mahogany is a favoured food tree species of the Koala in the Sydney region. Other mammals recorded there include:
The native Swamp Rat (Rattus lutreolus)
Grey-headed Flying Foxes
Sugar Gliders
Brown Antechinus
Common Ringtail Possums
Four snake species recorded in the reserve include Swamp Snake (Hemiaspis signata) and the regionally significant species Carpet Python (Morelia spilota).
Special Features
Irrawong Reserve contains most significant remaining stand of Eucalyptus robusta (Swamp Mahogany) in the Sydney region;
It's a wildlife corridor linking the Ingleside escarpment to the Warriewood wetlands
It's a site for scientific research and education
It's an educational and recreational resource for the local community
It's a habitat for Koalas and over 90 species of resident and migratory birds

Foster dog Roxy was happy to play and chase with this Husky. But as soon as she got pawed...she was done (and I don't blame her).
i literally had to get him to do this a dozen times before i got any of the shots right. and even then, i wish that i had the backlight brighter in this one. and i wish the tripod wasn't visible behind him. oh well. next time.
