I love Chase. She's my dog Hannah's best friend in the world. She's cute and smart and a fantastic client. The problem is that Chase's owner is also a photographer so I feel less obliged to wow her (Chase's owner) with my magnificent shots and I tend to take less photos of Chase than I probably should. That, and she's so damned fast I can rarely get the camera to focus on her.
This is Chase! She's my new Pullip, Grell. I'm not 100% sure about the name Chase, but I'm keeping it for now. Sorry for her wig, I know it's a little weird, but it's a temporary wig that I sewed really quickly, because the wig I bought her is being shipped.

The magpie kept up for awhile, even landing some well-timed swoops on the eagle's back. Once the eagle got some rising air under those big wings the chase was over.

Chased this heavy cloud from Weymouth, trying to get a head of it. Trying to decide how far to head on, dismissed West Bay and Charmouth and pressed on through the rain. There was a wonderful rainbow out to sea here, which I just missed.
This is as is off the camera, just a bit of cloning to remove a couple of bouys, and some clarity added.
Woodlands batting at their Albert Terrace, Oakenshaw, home as they successfully chase down a 177 target set by JCT600 Bradford Cricket League Division One leaders Pudsey St Lawrence. The visitors' second successive defeat allowed Woodlands to close to 14 points the gap in the title battle.

Woodlands Cricket Club were founded in 1894. They joined the Bradford League in 2001 after spells in the Low Moor & District, Bradford, Bradford Central and Central Yorkshire leagues. Albert Terrace, Oakenshaw, has been their HQ since 1952. The pavilion and adjoining sports hall date from the 1990s.
The theme for this picture was "The Chase" and I went for "chasing a dream".

...It didn't go as well as I thought it would lol, cause the reflection actually looks like a reflection of the photographer taking a picture, but that's just not true... or possible if you actually consider the angle, and the fact that I'm not a girl...
The concept wasn't hard to execute really, but the shot was a bit of a challenge to take, for me anyway, since I have minimal macro experience. The shot was done indoors with ambient light, which was pretty weak. With a macro, you do lose some speed, and DOF, so I had to stop down the aperture. But I didn't want to bump up my ISO to help avoid noise... so I had a very slow shutter, where it's difficult for someone to not move or blink at such a close distance.without it being noticeable. The workspace was also very cramped, since I had her resting on a chair and table to keep herself as steady as possible, and the reflected object couldn't be too far away. Of course I had to shoot with a tripod, which made the space even more cramped lol.
But overall, I still think it was a neat idea, that had a lot of potential and could be better next time.
