Charlie Chaplin spent the last 25 years of his life in Corsier-sur-Vevey, in Switzerland, where he died in 1977. His large house, "le manoir de Ban" has been transformed to a museum dedicated to him.
‘Making a Living’ was the title of Charlie Chaplin’s first comedy film. It was made between the 5th - 9th January 1914.
This isn’t just thrown together 🤔.
Thanks for visiting....
You have a good day.
«La felicità.. Esiste, le dico.
– Dove?
– Senta.

Just a simple candid street style Snapograph captured at Covent Garden London UK of a street performer doing an extremely good act of impersonating Charlie Chaplin.

Film Festival is a yearly tradition in Karlsbad since 1946, so it is not surprise that cinema themed restaurant will be offering meals to the movie goers. I doubt that Chaplin would be trilled, to be used as a prop. There is also a street performer in Karlsbad dressed like Chaplin, but I did not see him.

I think laughter is the best medicine. If you can’t laugh at yourself, then you can’t laugh at life and the silliness of it all.

Laughter is wine for the soul - laughter soft, or loud and deep, tinged through with seriousness - the hilarious declaration made by man that life is worth living.
Sean O'Casey
A smile starts on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes, a chuckle comes from the belly; but a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, overflows, and bubbles all around.

Macro Monday: #Citrus
7DWF, Monday: Free Theme
Size of the Kumquat: 3,4 x 2,8 cm / 1,3 x 1,1 inches
I promise that I'll try to take a capture without glitter foamsheet as backdrop for the next theme (depends on the theme, though...). This one was just calling for a glamorous background (and it didn't look that interesting or nice on a neutral background, either). I also tried something with lime, blood orange and orange slices, arranged like the three RGB circles. At one point, when those slices were arranged, and re-arranged (sticky affair!), and finally eaten, and neither the blood nor the "normal" orange provided nice (or small enough) slices anymore, it was the Kumquat's turn. I wanted to arrange it like a hand, and found out that the kumquat's texture / pattern looked really nice when lit from behind. Accidentally the LED light appeared in one of the captures. Which reminded me of a stage scenery. This reminded me of Charlie Chaplin's melancholic movie "Limelight" (1952). I decided to take the "lime" in limelight literally and put a slice of lime in front of the LED lamp. Since the light then was too bright for the slice of lime to look nice, but too dark to properly back-light the kumquat, I used another LED light placed next to the lime adorned LED, and a small torch (handheld) for the back-lighting job and switched the LED light with the lime slice in front off.
A Happy Macro Monday Everyone ;-)
Im Rampenlicht: Kumquat Superstar
Rampenlicht: Limelight; lime: Limette
Dies erinnerte mich an eine Bühnenszene, was mich an Charlie Chaplins Drama "Limelight" denken ließ.
This Human Street Statue was just taking a few minutes out to cut his sons nails. He was by Westminster Bridge in London hiding behind a pillar. Within a minute of this shot being taken he was back to work.

Fran Burton got mighty surprised when a little Blythe suddenly stomped into her living room, proclaiming;
Amy: I am here to repair your porcelain figurines!
Fran: That's very kind I'm sure. But they are not broken.
Amy: That's why I also brought this hammer.
Fran: *Gasp!*
