(R) No. 77 (c. 1800) aka Thomas Barksdale House — primary address is No. 1 Tradd St • 2-part brick single house with residential area upstairs and commercial space on ground floor • converted from and auto shop to a private residence in 1927 by Mrs. T.W. Punnett — Laura Gertrude Roosevelt Punnett (1850-1947) — cousin of U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt • Prunnett's daughter Helen gave her the iron balcony as a gift, purchased from preservationist Susan (Sue) Pringle Frost (1878-1960), who had aquired it about 20 yrs. earlier when it was salvaged from a State St. bldg.
