With the loss of my cat this week, I've kept her toys and put them into storage along with a few other things. The blue mouse on an elastic string with handle, she used to run around after for hours (more so when she was younger) and it squeaks.
A local cat charity had some of the other things, food and cat litter and some unused scratching poles and toys she never played with.
Given an HDR treatment.

My mom's been knitting baby clothes for charity, and she asked me if I could knit some baby socks for her packages. I haven't felt that inspired to knit lately, in fact, my knitting has hit an all time low – I've even watched tv without knitting! But baby socks are quick, so I promised her to knit a few pairs. So that's what I've been doing, knitting tiny socks with sock yarn scraps. Hopefully they'll bring back my knitting mojo.
Charity by Damien Hirst
Charity is recognisable as based on Scope collection boxes which were commonly seen on British high streets between the 1960s and 1970s. A young girl wearing a calliper forlornly cradles a teddy bear and a donations box which reads ‘please give generously’. The work questions historic and outdated ways of depicting disability and seeking charity.

What does a Honduran lady and and English guy who met in Flickr 7 years ago do in London? We finally met after so long time. He is Pete, my photography mentor, my friend and the co founder of Brighter Lives, an organization in Honduras to help children in need.
I had a great time with him and his wife and i am so grateful for the wonderful memories with them. More photos soon! Greetings to you all :)
Bought this fabulous wedding dress many years ago from a charity shop for just £30. Brand new it still had all its tags in place!
I have entered this image in to the Flickr group Charity Print Auctions:
www.flickr.com/groups/charityprintauctions/ for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
The print that is for auction is 8 x 10 inches and will be printed on Professional Matte paper.
To bid, you need to comment below the image with the amount that you would like to bid. Bidding starts at $5.
When the auction closes, the person that has bid the most, wins the print.
The auction will close on the date set in the thread, in the case of the Haiti Earthquake Appeal, it will finish on Monday 25th of January 2010 at midnight.
The winning bidder has to pay that amount to the Red Cross:
www.redcross.org.uk/emergencysite/default.aspx?id=88916
When they do this, they MUST make a screen grab of the donation confirmation page to send to me. This is the only way that I will know that you have paid and can arrange for the print to be sent to you.
I will pay the costs of production of the print and the postage to the winning bidder.
Please help, all proceeds will go to the Haiti Relief Fund.
BTW, this is a slightly different version that the original. If the winning bidder would like the original instead, just let me know.
If the bidding gets high enough, then I will be willing to send the winner two prints.
Don't have a flickr account? Send me an email with your bid to mreddin@optonline.net
THIS IS AN OLD PHOTO, UPLOADED ONLY FOR THE AUCTION. DO NOT COMMENT UNLESS YOU ARE BIDDING. IF YOU WANT TO COMMENT ON THE ORIGINAL PHOTO GO HERE:

Imagine if you were unable to touch or kiss your newborn baby. This is an ordeal thousands of families, whose child arrives too soon, too small or too sick, are forced to go through each year.
Some facts and figures:
• There is a shortage of 1,150 nurses to care for the 70,000 babies in need of specialist hospital care in England. Less than a third of units have enough nurses to meet minimum standards.
• Neonatal units are working way above recommended occupancy levels meaning there is no safety net for peaks in the number of babies being admitted to units.
• Families of babies admitted to specialist hospital care face a crippling financial strain on top of the normal costs of having a new baby.
• Over half of parents face the prospect of not being able to stay near their baby in hospital due to a shortage of overnight rooms for families.
Cake A Difference is the annual fundraising initiative from Bliss, the special care baby charity. Bliss offers guidance and information at a critical time in families' lives, funds ground-breaking research and campaigns for babies to receive the best possible level of care regardless of when and where they are born. Cake A Difference 2011 takes place from 14-20 February 2011. For more ideas on how you can support Bliss contact katiaw@bliss.org.uk
I have completed my train MOC which I will be donating to this year's Esther Walner Charity Auction at Brickworld 2019. The auction item will include as seen here:
1. Santa Fe EMD F7A Warbonnet Locomotive with full power Function equipment and stickers by OKbrickworks. This model is 8-wide and is ready-to-run.
2. Santa Fe EMD F7B locomotive, unpowered, with stickers by OKbrickworks.
3. Power Functions remote.
4. USB drive (16 GB) with the PDF of the instructions for both locomotives
(Track not included)
Credit where credit is due, I would like to thank and recognize the following:
OKbrickworks - for not only donating the stickers for both locomotives, but for offering to sponsor the B unit, which prompted me to include it in the auction.
Nick O'Donnell - for donating a large chunk of the parts from his Bricklink shop - Cincinnati Brick Co.
Karl Joffre - for donating all of the Power Functions elements, allowing this model to be ready-to-run - motors, battery box, remote, everything.
And last but not least Nate Brill, who's peerless work on his NYC E unit windshield made my original MOC possible.
If you are attending Brickworld this year, I encourage you to attend, even if you have no interest in bidding. There has been discussion that if you are not attending, but know someone who is, you could bid by proxy. Bryan Bonahoom is happy to take your money (for charity, of course).
Since the pandemic I've been working from home. In the last month I've been working one day a week in an office, not too far from home. It really breaks the week up, and has helped me feel a bit more connected to the world again.
The other good thing is that there's a big charity shop close by, so ideal for some lunchtime browsing!
