It is located in Mexico City's Chapultepec park. The name Chapultepec is the Nahuatl word chapoltepēc which means "on the hill of the grasshopper".
The castle has such unparalleled views and terraces that explorer James F. Elton wrote: "They can't be surpassed in beauty in any part of the world."

Chapultepec Zoo grounds cover 13.5 hectares (33 acres) and house approximately 2,000 specimens of about 280 species.
A zoos have flamingos, these are a Caribbean Flamingo breeding group. They are practising the one leg stand.
The flock has about 40 or 45 birds and they breed every year.
Flamingos are a protected species in Mexico and are only found wild on the Yucatan peninsula.
