I have been away for the past few days for work in school.
This was when he was assembled. He is painted with the NMM technique as well.
I am glad I have a chaplain to use as my Buddy Icon. :)

They are a great part of the team.
This is a rare unit, not sure exactly what department it falls under, it has the stripes and fonts that the OCSO uses, as well as the OCSO badge, but also has OFD, OCFR, RCFD, badges.

The military man who serves his God before the generals poses for the photographer in "Michael's Barracks" in Cork. During World War 1 the chaplains of all faiths were one of the most admired and trusted group of people at the front. They proved to be dedicated to the welfare of the men and frequently put themselves in great danger to offer both medical and spiritual comfort to the wounded. Capt. Wilson was likely to have been one of those who brought that tradition into the new Free State Army. Can we find out anything about him? Was he related to the Wilson of Hogan-Wilson?

Originally I thot this picture sucked, and wasn't about to post it... then I tried the B&W view, and wow... decided to show our Chaplain in a moment of reflection, as we were headed to FOB Mehtar Lam for the first time...

In addition to the more established military bases on the Western and Eastern fronts, Bavaria also employed chaplains in field hospitals to take care of the spiritual needs of the men convalescing there. Several volunteer rabbis were also employed for the Jewish soldiers.
Reverend John G. Burkhalter was a Baptist minister and highly decorated chaplain who served in World War II. In 1943, he was assigned to the 1st Infantry Division, which was stationed in Wales. On D-Day – June 6, 1944 – Chaplain Burkhalter landed on Omaha Beach.
In the aftermath of the invasion, he was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry and the Bronze Star for valor as well as a Purple Heart for his activities under fire. His citation for the Silver Star reads: "For gallantry in action in the vicinity of Haaren, Germany, 21 October 1944. Although constantly subjected to heavy artillery bombardment and several times thrown to the ground by concussion of exploding shells, Chaplain Burkhalter moved about an exposed area and directed the recovery of the bodies of American casualties. Chaplain Burkhalter's courage and coolness under fire were of great inspiration to all who witnessed his gallant deeds."
During the Battle of the Bulge, Burkhalter was helping find the wounded and dead when he was injured by exploding shrapnel. Declared missing in action, he later turned up in a French hospital where he was recovering from his head wounds. As soon as he was able, he returned to the front. In total, he spent 20 months in the European Theater of Operations.
“Danger was everywhere; death was not far off. I knew that God alone is the maker and preserver of life, who loves to hear and answer prayer.” – Chaplain John G. Burkhalter in a letter to his wife Mabel.
God bless!

A more updated version of the old Terminator Bodyguard Unit. Instead of the power fist and storm bolter combination I opted for a thunder hammer and storm shield. Mainly for the reason that the Chaplain himself can augment this further on the tabletop. Painting wise I stuck with the black armour and went for NNM gold trim and NNM silver shoulder pads. On top of this is I tried some OSL on the thunder hammer. Really went to town on this part to make it look correct. Anyway thanks for looking and hope you like the miniature :)

A commission from my friend - he gave me a partially painted Asmodai model and asked me to finish it. Because the paintjob was pretty bad, I decided to give him a full repaint instead.
