L’amanite tue-mouches (Amanita muscaria), très caractéristique, est facile à identifier. Elle est parfois consommée volontairement pour ses effets hallucinogènes. Ce champignon contient de l’acide iboténique, du muscimol et de la muscazone. L’amanite tue-mouches est responsable d’une intoxication où dominent les symptômes neuropsychiques. Ce tableau toxique est connu sous le nom de syndrome myco-atropinien ou syndrome panthérinien du nom de l’amanite panthère qui provoque une intoxication du même type.

Le traitement est symptomatique, il n’y a pas d’antidote.

The very characteristic fly agaric (Amanita muscaria) is easy to identify. It is sometimes deliberately consumed for its hallucinogenic effects. This mushroom contains ibotenic acid, muscimol and muscazone. The fly agaric is responsible for an intoxication dominated by neuropsychic symptoms. This toxic picture is known as myco-atropin syndrome or panther syndrome, named after the panther amanita which causes poisoning of the same type.

The treatment is symptomatic, there is no antidote.
