Challenge yourself. We all have areas in our life which could improve by shaking things up a little. Maybe it's just taking baby steps to overcome something that is holding you back. You don't know what you are capable of unless you go outside of your comfort zone. I challenge you to pick one thing today that you want to change or improve and get started. You don't need to wait for a special day, choose to start right now. This message is for me but I am sure others could also need a push too.

I love everything about this photo of Stripe (my name for this one) from using the Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II 11-16 mm f2.8 lens on my Canon 7D aperture priority at f2.8 just sitting on the deck using my remote shutter. The bokeh that is produced when shooting wide open to the size of the peanut compared to this little fella just make me smile.
I have heard that to switch it up, you should try to shoot with just one lens for a bit to see what you can capture if you are in a rut. These past few months (since March) living in a global pandemic may have cause many to loose sight of their creative thought when it comes to taking a photograph and I know that I for one was there at first. The idea of not being able to see my kids or grandkids, the idea that because I work in a military medical clinic and I could pass something onto family or friends has weighed heavily upon me. We should not be afraid to ask for help, to speak to someone about our anxieties especially in these unprecedented times we are living through throughout the world.
Please keep staying safe. Social distance, wear a face covering to protect others from you as you may be asymptomatic and wash those paws for at least 30 seconds with soap and water. Pick up your camera, challenge yourself to shoot with one lens only for a week that perhaps you might not normally use - if you have just a kit lens then shoot at only one focal length. See what you come up with to help Create Memories to share by taking photographs!

Seeing Glen Hansard in concert took effort on my part. I've never liked going to places solo, but sometimes you just gotta push yourself that much harder in life if you want to reach those dreams! Bonus, I got to meet him after the concert! My heart is full!

Trees - Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
~This is a tree I pass by three of four times in a week. It's actually quite small. I love its shape. I would love it if nothing were behind it but now that I've taken the shots, I don't mind the background much. Rather adds to the overall look.
High key version.
