Tough Guy Nettle Warrior is the Summer version of Winter Tough Guy and is run at the end of July, less of the cold, more of the pain! The course is essentially the same as Winter Tough Guy but with a number of evil twists.
It's been a while since I really really really liked something I've done. I will go out on a limb here and say, this is pretty good! :)

While I'm not an addict, I am guilty of a lot of things. I started doing a little reading into strength and growth this past week. As humans, we tend to become obsessed with our own lives becoming increasingly inconsiderate to others. While you might give that homeless guy on the street a dollar, at the end of the day each of us can be incredibly insensitive to people around us. People who have an addiction hurt those that love them the most, because all they care about is that which they crave. Once I started reading over each of the recovery process, we could all learn something from the 12-steps. While you might not plant your face into a bottle or get cracked out on meth every day, no one is perfect. It might humble us all to look into our core and see the things we need to fix in ourselves.
I'll be attempting a mini-series, one day for each of the steps and try to apply them to my own life. I'm not an addict of anything in the typical sense of the word, but I looked into myself today and saw a person in need of recovery. We all make mistakes. Part of my healing process is my willingness to see that I have hurt people around me, and I want to be better. What do you see today?

Mom passed away a few years back. The bottle is my remembrance when I need a mom fix.

This is the first time for a long time that I have seen this building by the River Len without that van being parked by the blue door !
This is now a Peugeot car dealer's with workshops that make (or made) small buses in the past, and was the premises oF William Rootes, the founder of the Rootes Group until taken over by Chrysler in 1968, after which it all went pear shaped with the help of the Government interference in transferring manufacturing to Linwood. Check Google using "William Rootes Maidstone" as search factors
