Today has been an even more insane day. Apparently, all the steam irons have completely disappeared from Poznan. After searching everywhere, we got one of the guests from Romania to buy it and bring it Saturday morning for my dress. Yup. That’s right.
On top of it, our kitty. Chobi. has developed an allergic reaction to some eye drops that the vet prescribed and has had a very high fever.
Here’s a quiet moment I managed to catch at sunset with my first dance dress. Also, I can’t believe that friends from Romania are already in Poznan and I can’t meet them because there is simply no time.
Crrrrrazy times!

Despite the huge amount of work, we thought that we should get out of the house at least once in a day.
So we went out for a walk at almost midnight. We found these new Christmas decorations in place, including the results of an ice sculpture competition that apparently took place today.
However, our most important find for today (not depicted in the picture) was the Kürtős booth. They were just closing, so we got the last two Kürtős cakes at a discount and with some extra Nutella on them. If this isn’t the perfect place to end a very busy day, then I don’t know what is.
Any other Kürtős fans around here?

It’s raining. It’s cold and dark. I have a cold. Nothing else besides Complain City over here.

Day 1 - You
The progress to our first dance is going very slow. We don’t have time to practice at home and then we forget from one week to another what we learned previously. Luckily, we have a very cool and patient dance instructor that helps us relax and not stress about it so much.

Today was the day of Ioanas. I’ve met with two Ioanas and then went back to my Ioana at home (mum) with a full blown cold that I just suddenly developed on my way.

I know these are getting repetitive but it’s really all I’m doing. I wake up at 7, I go to the driving lessons, I come back, I am being sick while editing or editing while being sick and then I stay up till after midnight studying for the exam. the end.

Sometimes I take this kind of photos. I take great pleasure in photographing boring landscapes, abandoned places, concrete remains of socialism. I imagine myself like the new topographics photographers, going to forgotten territories, walking, seeing, framing, photographing. But in the end, I realise that my life is different from these photographers. There are days when I just stay at home and edit all day. And since I am taking a photo every day, not 20 every other week, compromises must be made. So I guess, inevitably, there will be photos of cats and photos of food. But, from time to time, I can imagine I am a cool contemporary photographer.
