Taken at the North Wales Country Fair in Bala. This was part of the display by Axe-men where they were carving wood with chainsaws.
It turns out that chainsaw carving is much harder work and more time intensive than the artists make it look (though a larger chainsaw might help when it comes to large chunks of tree). When a huge ceder had to come down I saved some rounds to add some monster mushrooms to to the front yard, but I have yet to finish. I may satisfy myself with my with a nice mallet and chisels.
