It has begun there is no denying. Just noticed how the lines on the $1 tea cup from the second hand shop and the lines on the candle holder kind of matched. They caught my eye anyway.
The candle holder was made with a slab of Whitestone clay and painted with red underglaze before a clear overglaze. I love how vivid the red is once the overglaze is fired on.
Here's a tunnel wall decorated with hundreds of ceramic tiles. All of them were made by ceramic artists from all over the world as well as students from local University of Art in Wroclaw. In between all those 'arty' tiles you can find a word 'Hello' in various languages. This mural was made on the occasion of European Capital of Culture which was co-held by Wroclaw (Poland) and San Sebastian (Spain). In total it's 20 meters long so the photo shows just a fracture of entire wall.

Yesterday I visited Beckford Silk where as well as selling their beautiful silk, they have a shop with other people's crafts. There were some very imaginative and elegant hats and I love the patterns that the shadows of the hat make across the ceramic face.
