So I’ve been kinda procrastinating on the Allan centaur cuz I didn’t know what to do for the tail. I was messing with some doll parts and saw Jinafire’s tail was a decent scale. I guess he’s a kirin now lol. I also coloured in his joints to prep him for his galaxy paint job lol..
I don't know whose idea it was to stage contemporary works of the late Polish/French sculptor Vallone dei Mulini in the ancient ruins of Pompeii, but what a brilliant idea! I didn't get to see everything, but I couldn't take my eyes off this centaur statue. The missing skull, the little square window with a bust in it, and the overall shape and balance of the statue make it nothing short of captivating. I didn't know what I was seeing until I got home from the trip and looked it up. Bravo Italy! And speaking of missing skulls, I removed the heads of a half-dozen tourists in this image.

Half-human and half-horse, centaurs are a classical emblem of the struggle between humankind’s rational and animalistic sides. Perrier’s centaur is inspired by the ancient Greek marble sculpture showing the beast teased by Eros (Cupid), winged god of love.

While in the area this morning I espied this beast working on the shuttle between UEL Docklands and Stratford Campuses.
After a bit of internet research on my refuel at the Drive-Thru Costa at Beckton Triangle I decided it was worth a punt, so after having 36293 to Cyprus I managed to find the terminus, and here is the former WVL126 by the Stratford facility in Water Lane after I alighted.
This former Stockwell bus was unlucky enough to get caught up in the 2011 riots, during which its driver got robbed and the bus stolen and left crashed into a lamppost in Ealing. Fortunately it only suffered a few damaged panels, smashed windows and the after effects of an unsuccessful attempt to set fire to its lower deck back seat and was soon back on the road.
Just like 36268-36279 just mentioned, this was one of five buses (WVL124-128) inexplicably returned off lease prematurely from its sisters, in this case at the end of May 2013.
From what I can make out, WVL125 (which ran with Centaur for a time) is now with Xelabus, 127 & 128 are with Network Warrington but I'm not sure where 124 went. 19/10/16.
Sorry for being disconected of Flickr since time ago :-) I'm moving my photos in instagram during the past months. Anyway, I will try to update informations here too.

I have seen many pics of half - relatives having a small friend sitting on their nose. Guess I can brag with that now too.
I hope no one minds that I start to use flickr a little more to just ramble about dolls! I feel bad not posting quality photos sometimes, but I also have no one where else to doll ramble.
I got these guys a couple weeks ago. They both pose so well (look at him running down there!), but they take up quite a lot of room! They've been airing out in the basement from the strong resin smell. Their default faceups are very nice; the boy has gold lining his eyes, while the girl has silver. Hopefully I can take better photos soon, once I change their eyes and put proper wigs on them. But I wanted to show off their bodies for those who were interested in how they looked.
