Damavand vrcholek. Cobic, Lenka, já a skupina íránských horolezců, ke kterým jsme se v noci jednostranně přidali. Bez jejich baterek, budíčku a znalosti cesty by jsme se sem nedostali.
Z deníku: 10:00 - dosaženo vrcholu 5971 m.n.m.
Po nějaké době dorazil i Cobic který si mezitím zdřímnul na cestou ledovci a musel být probuzen. Vzájemně se zahříváme. Točím vrchol videokamerou. Zimou se mi tak klepe spodní čelist, že nemůžu dabovat záznam. Na vrcholku je malý kráter vyplněný ledovcem, okolo skal se válí seschlé mumie zvířat, které se zde udusily sírou. Okolní vrcholky pohoří Elborz (Alborz) jsou tak daleko a nízko, že se ztrácí v oparu a moc toho vidět není. Samou radostí jsem vyzvrátil sušenky i vodu, co jsem do sebe nahoře dostal.

The Port Jackson shark, is a type of bullhead shark found in the coastal region of southern Australia, including the waters off Port Jackson. They have a large head with prominent forehead ridges and dark brown harness-like markings on a lighter gray-brown body. They are amigratory species, travelling south in the summer and returning north to breed in the winter months. They feed on hard-shelled mollusks, crustaceans, sea urchins, and fish. They grow up to 1,5 meters.
Žralok dogovitý (nebo také různozubec portjacksonský) dorůstá do velikosti 1,5 metru. Živí se plži, kraby, sumýši. Jeho domovem jsou mělčiny a skalní útesy jižní Austrálie. Na každé hřbetní ploutvi má jedovatý osten. Horní čelist má spojenou s mozkovnou a nemůže tedy ukusovat velká sousta jako jiní žraloci.

was splendid! 75 seniors from four states.
Sis had never been in this building before
so she was quite amazed by everything.
We had a tour of the building, a lecture
about the concert we were to see from
a celist from the orchestra, a *primo*
meal at Cadence, and then the concert.
Sent Bsis starry-eyedon her way in a
cab. I bussed home. Stopped at the club
for a few lagers and then turned in.

Esta fotografía data de h. 1900. Los retratados son los hermanos Constante y José Fernández, junto a su madre Celista, naturales de la parroquia y pueblo de Piñera, Cangas del Narcea (Asturias), casa Celista, que después pasó a llamarse casa Cadenas.
Celista es la tatarabuela y José, apuesto caballero con bigote y sombrero, el bisabuelo de Encarna González Fernández, a cuyo álbum familiar pertenece este estupendo retrato, realizado en Madrid por el estudio fotográfico R. Reigosa del Ferrol (La Coruña).
Este retrato de h. 1900 complementa al anterior. Fue realizado por el fotógrafo Celedonio P. López que tuvo su estudio en Madrid, muy cerca del Palacio Real. Era muy típico entonces que los establecimientos fotográficos se ubicasen en torno al centro de la capital. Como anécdota, Celedonio imprimía en los cartones de sus fotografías el escudo palatino para demostrar que retrataba también a la familia real.
En este retrato, flanqueado por su hermana María (izda. con falda de volantes) y su esposa Amalia (dcha.), aparece nuevamente José Fernández, de casa Celista, después casa Cadenas, de Piñera, concejo de Cangas del Narcea. Su esposa Amalia Menéndez era natural de casa Terrao de Pandiello, parroquia de Larna (Cangas del Narcea).
En aquella época, vivían todos en Madrid, excepto Celista, que daba nombre a la casa de Piñera, pero por circunstancias de la vida, el matrimonio formado por José y Amalia tuvieron que regresar para tomar las riendas de la casa y José Fernández, ejercer de 'moirazo' en Piñera.
