Hi guys 👋
It's been far too long since I last posted! These past 2/3 months I had been extremely busy with uni assignments as I was in my final semester of my final year and so the pressure was on! Uni is finally done and dusted but now I'm fasting which makes it a little difficult to go out and shoot! I'm itching to get back behind the camera and will be doing so soon!
Just so you know that I'm not gone, enjoy this moon shot I took last night during sunset!
Taken from my observatory in Liberty Hill, Texas, USA.

EN_ Andromeda is the largest galaxy closest to the Milky Way. Both galaxies dominate the local group. Andromeda's diffused light is caused by hundreds of billions of stars that compose it, along with interstellar gas and dust. Known as M31 for being object 31 cataloged by astronomer Charles Messier. Its distant light takes 2 million light years to reach us. Many things of our neighboring galaxy are still unknown, such as its double nucleus where they could contain 2 supermassive holes on the way to fusion to form a larger one releasing energy in gravitational waves.

EN_ Surely the best known nebula of the sky in the world, and of course if its beauty is unmatched.
The Orion Nebula is a stellar nursery where new stars are forming at more than 1500 light years, full of emission, reflection and absorption nebulas located on the edge of a gigantic complex of molecular clouds, these colorful nebulae only represent a small difference of the richness of interstellar material of this galactic neighborhood. Inside this well-studied stellar nursery, astronomers have also identified what appear to be numerous young planetary systems, M42 is one of the brightest nebulae in the sky visible on the sword of the Orion hunter as a diffuse and dim star.

Also known as 30 Doradus, is over a thousand light years in diameter and is a gigantic region where stars are formed inside the Great Magellanic Cloud, the nearby satellite galaxy. About 180 thousand light years away, it is the largest and most violent star formation region known to the entire Local Group of galaxies. The cosmic arachnid extends through this spectacular view elaborated with narrow-band filter data focused on the emission of ionized hydrogen atoms. Within the Tarantula (NGC 2070), intense radiation, stellar winds and supernova shocks from the central young cluster of massive stars, listed as R136, feed the nebula's glow and form the arachnid filaments. Around the Tarantula there are other star-forming regions with young star clusters, filaments and bubble-shaped clouds.

At least 4 times larger and brighter than Orion, Carina is the jewel of the southern skies. It’s so big most telescopes can’t fit it all in, and even my widefield Hyperstar at 540mm zoom doesn’t fit it all in either. The core is striking though, bifurcated like some others (eg Triffid, Rosette) by the star formation occurring in the dense centre region, and energised by the bright Eta Carinae star system which itself is unique and bizarre.
I almost forgot to post this I’d been agonising about it for so long, processing and reprocessing, learning something new then reprocessing again! I collected this data last month and it’s not a lot (about 1.5 hours worth) but since it’s the biggest and brightest thing in the sky, it doesn’t need a very long exposure time.
A mix of Ha and RGB captured with a colour CCD camera, the colours are natural but strengthened. It’s easy to go too red or too bright with this one but it’s really more of a purple / pink / salmon colour like most emission nebula are.
I’ve been quite active and have posted a bunch more things to deography.com, and started a new website for the minor astrophotos I collect between the “major” projects like this one. You can see them at www.byronbayobservatory.com.au which also collates the writing I’ve been doing for Celestron and Photographing Space.
As always this image is now free and public domain :)

The milky way already goes down in the sky at about 3 am, it fits perfectly over the city of Santiago de Chile.
That day is completely cloudy in the city, so we had to climb the mountain range, specifically to the Farellones slope, there we made astronomical observation with a Celestros NextStar 8se telescope and we made Astro Photography together with colleagues from the NGO Astronomia Nova Austral.

EN_Capture of Saturn made on September 14, 2019.
My favorite planet in the solar system (except Earth), this gas giant is part of the outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune). It is located more than 1440 million km from the earth, it takes approximately 29.4 years to complete an orbit around the sun, its day lasts 10.4 hours and is currently visible in the constellation Sagittarius.
I hope you like it, sincerely it takes more time for me to process photos of planets than deep sky.
ES_ Saturno
