The Manor Class of steam locomotives are celebrating an anniversary this year. This weekend marks 50 years since the last days of ‘Manor’ steam locomotives worked on the Cambrian network.

Full of feelings, soo happy, joyful, anxious at the same time, hesitant, "is it true" comes to your mind
It may take a while to land and actually understand the whole concept because it's kind of unreal
Unreal that things can go your way
But I believe that the universe has a plan
Meant to be is a saying
Yes I think so
How happy I am right now
And I know that another one is happy too and I love that guy
I bet the energy string that goes across the pond, all the 5100 km, is full of love
So if you come across the string, take care of it, suck it in, breathe it in
It's one of a kind
It is ours to behold
But we will always share
What's a celebration without a suitable libation. Sparkling wine is a tradition celebratory drink on New Year's Eve.

Almost every day in June, Cusco has some form of celebration/festival going on. It's the best time of year to experience Peruvian culture, a mix of Inca tradition and Spanish colonisation.
Apologies for my absence, life is busy at the moment! I can't believe this is 32 years ago, where does the time go? Neither of us like having our photo taken but you can't really escape that on your wedding day, can you???

It's autumn, at least on this side of the equator. Nature is slowly revealing its beautiful fall colors. It's also the time when I'm slowly getting back to work in my (makeshift) studio (a.k.a. the attic) at home, and that transition isn't always easy...
I saw this week's Macro Mondays theme and thought: I'm in! After several attempts with various objects, I thought of this small cup, just 1.5 cm high, in the warm golden colour of autumn; and finally I got an idea. My return to my own small, makeshift studio will be a celebrated with a macro in autumn colours.
Including negative space, this photo is 5.8 cm wide.
