Under the Royal Exhibition Building ceiling!
This photograph was taken at one of the exhibitions at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. There were so many plants and flowers to see. All in different colours and tones! The camera shutters went crazy!
CEILING IN THE STABLES FROM CHÂTEAU DE CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE
In 1877, the princely couple entrusted the famous architect Paul-Ernest Sanson with designing the stables, which had to be the most sumptuous and modern in all Europe.
Sanson opted for a brick and stone ensemble (brick was regularly used in the late 19th century in the building of equine palaces), also making use of an old sculptural feature present on the château’s facades (a sculpted frieze alternating the double “C” of Charles II de Chaumont and a mountain in flames).
I have not used a tripod for this photo.
It's an HDR of one photo, made in Capture One, Affinity Photo and Nik.

The design of these ceilings "expand" the interior space like there are no boundaries between heaven and earth.

An oasis of peace from the hustle and bustle of the capital ....
all embracing, light, optimistic and fascinating.
Photographic inspiration can strike when you least expect it. I was walking home this evening, but The Sun was still too high in the sky to make for an interesting sunset, or so I thought.
As I was walking over North Bridge, I noticed how the sun was catching the glass roof of Waverley Station. Then all I had to do was try to do the scene justice...which given The Sun was shining directly into my eyes remained a challenge. However, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. :-)

There was a time when Cleveland was a worldwide industrial powerhouse, and the likes of Andrew Carnegie an Mark Hanna did their banking at the Cleveland Trust Company. The bank disappeared many years ago, and its palatial main downtown office sat vacant and in disrepair. Recently this iconic space was re-born as a downtown supermarket. The rotunda now offers shoppers an unusual space for relaxing and a quick (not to mention tasty) lunch.
