The Altschlossfelsen are a 1.5km long rock wall in the Palatinate Forest, not far away from the French border. They are known for the fact that in spring one of the rocks appear to glow in the light of the setting sun.
While the rocks in the foreground are already in the shadow, the sun illuminates their backside, which then casts a glowing light on the rocks behind them.
I cycled 72 kilometers for this picture, half of it after sunset. But it was worth it for this sight.
