Compositionally Challenged Week 18 Texture
Wanted to show the wonderful crisp and soft textures at the same time... a lye roll isn‘t common in many parts of the world, but you might know it, because the dough and process is the same as with Pretzels.
Shot with a Friedrich "S-Coronar 75 mm F 1.9" lens on a Canon EOS R5.

On a walk with several good sightings, this sweet little squirrel was my favorite. I've never seen a squirrel with this much white, as I don't live in a region with white squirrels (southern Indiana). I think it's a young squirrel. I watched it for several minutes, watching for the best opportunities to take photos when its coloring was most visible. Its right side was whiter than its left side.

So happy to report that Flori continues to thrive after her recent illness, when we thought we were going to lose her - HSS!
All elements of this design were created by me in Photshop CC. Textures were created with the PS pattern stamp tool. Then I added effects in Topaz Glow (Airbrush II) and Topaz Impression (Georgia O'Keefe II.) After using Topaz, I used the slider on Photoshop's hue/saturation to change the hues from brighter blue and green to these muted tones.
I created 2 other versions of this image, which I will post at another time. One is the original with brighter blues and greens. The 3rd is mostly a muted violet.
Each of the square shapes carries a piece of a picture of stratus clouds I took with my camera. The post-production was with a filter plugin. The result had a nice tonal balance divided into four segments. I might hang this one up.

To all my Flickr friends. (and so sorry for my english :p)
I would like to have more time to browse your photos, write small words but I lack time ... So I sent an email to the Yahoo! teams asking to integrate a system that could allow us to see in priority (First in our news feed the artists we follow every day... Whether it's the desktop version or via the app). I hope I would be listened... not so sure! :p
Sara, Irina, Thomas, Mark, Shona, Oliver, Shelly, Sheila, Eileen, Anna, Puxyredux, Joe, Pham, Lisa, Geoff, Mara, Vlasta, Tracy, Claire, Ashley... I forget a lot (and I go to school to get my son for lunch :p) and I apologize...
My dream, one day can organize a visit of my city with you, all, expose, take photos... finally meet and discuss (drink beers and good red wine ;) )... Discover musicians from here too... \m/
With all my thoughts, my deep respect for you.

Super collection of CC textures.
The tear is a super easy photoshop technique using the "Polygonal Lasso tool" (or press "L"). Just click your entire area out and copy-paste to a new layer. Layer tab, Layer Style, Bevel & Emboss, then a drop shadow in the same layer section.
Plunked my orchid photo into a premade background (Free from Creative Market.) using Photoshop CC. Texture and drop-shadow I made in PicMonkey.

4 layers, a textured layer from Photomorphis was merged with original as color burn then the two were blended to give interesting texture and color. A color layer was added that gave it a vintage look by softening the whole picture.
The idea for this shot came from a card I received from oldschoolphotolab.com. I had sent in a roll of film I shot on an old box camera. The card read "Thanks for the roll. Sorry there isn't more on the film. Keep shooting!"
