Teaser for an upcoming set.
You can almost tell they both grew up in Russia with the way they present themselves. Dasha actually ended up translating somewhat for Zoe, which was a new experience for me. They were great girls with some really great ideas, definitely made my job easier.
Photos worth sharing should trickle in over the next week or so.

This is a shot (colour slide) of my much loved CB400F taken in 1978 somewhere in the Cotswolds.
In those days we would explore the Cotswolds on this machine (wife riding pillion), with my camera gear packed away in the top box and panniers.
When it first came out this machine attracted quite a bit of attention, mainly due to the 4 into 1 arrangement of the exhausts. The Mk 1 version was available in blue or red and a later Mk 2 version was bright yellow or a plum colour. Although the bike was equipped with an electric starter a kick-start was also included which can be clearly seen. I remember the engine being very smooth and quiet. When ticking over you could barely hear it at all! Happy Days!
rebuilt the front forks, and by some miracle the springs were fine in spite of there being zero oil in there for god knows how long
also replaced the rear shocks with shitty tec aftermarket parts, and either they are reeeaalllyyy shitty (possible ) or the oem ones were not nearly as bad as we thought, and the crap front suspension was making them seem much worse than they actually were.
also yeah i know the crank is gross vs. everything else
the crankcase cover is being replaced with the junk bike's, maybe. hubby cleaned it up very well but last i checked it was rusted to hell inside while the interior of this one is flawless, but that was several hours ago and he has prob blasted it
stuff left to do:
~reupholster the seat with an oem replica seat cover
~put on new oem replica grips
~ new oil n filter n crankcase gasket
~pppppfffftttt get that rear death tire off of there
~ new break pads
~maybe supersport bars i am undecided
all of the parts to do that shit has been sitting around our house and oh boy friday and saturday are just going to be spent in the gaarraaaggeeee

An afternoon's 'scratching' around a bend at Bath Uni.
David McIlroy (Honda CB400F1) and Des Senior (Norton Commando), engage in Bath School of Engineering students' 'practical mechanical engineering appraisal session'...the Uni later put in 'sleeping policemen' speed-bumps on this bend.
Placing this on the map, the nice former curve seems to have been re-modelled as a right-angle corner.
Taken with my first SLR, a Zenit E and a Helios lens; all lost when my canvas haversack became detached from the same 400-4.
At Stonehenge, Exact year unknown. Post summer 1976 when I bought the bike new and probably before early 1978 when I fitted a fairing (and before my no-fault accident in France at Carcassonne in Aug 1978).

A final tribute to my wheels in Korea. Bought fall of 2004 and sold yesterday as I prepare to journey back to Canada. This baby ran flawlessly throughout the years and left me with lots of fond memories, plus allowed me to go to so many cool places to snap photos. Perhaps my favourite photo of it is here.

For Sale Yamaha XJ900 1985 model
Excellent bike, smooth runner, very fast and ultra reliable. Of the more than100 bikes I have personally owned, which include a new zephyr 750, a new Vulcan 1500 classic, several kawasaki GT750, Z750, Z650, Z250, Zr750, XJ650, Suzuki GR650, GS850 Yamaha XS250, XS360, XS400, Honda CB250, CB900, CB400 CR125 Elsinore, Atomic Link 250, TDR200, Grand Prix Victa, and too many more to remember ……… THIS XJ900 is the best of them all. Last year when I was Blueing with my EX BITCH, I blew a gasket in my BRAIN and just took off to Brisbane for a couple of weeks. The Bike was Fantastic. Never missed a beat. I Made it to a friends in Gosford in a day, then I fell in a heap. Funny thing was, the speedo cable broke at Gundagai, so I assumed that 6000 RPM was oh,… about 110-120 kmh and so I did 6000 RPM all the way to Brisbane. DON’T LAUGH! I was being a bit optimistic. I got a new speedo cable in Brizzy and discovered to my amusement and AWE that I had been riding at 160kmh ALL THE BLOODY WAY! Hahahhaa! God was on my side,….. never copped a copper with a radar! I once rode at 160kmh from Adelaide to the border of Vic at 160kmh on a Kawasaki GT750. smoked like a prick after that. The XJ900 did Gundagai to Brizzy at 160 and is still running as beautifully today as the day I got it. Another reccomendation,… This bike has outlasted three motorcycle couriers, me and two mates and none of us Kamikaze Pilots could kill it. It is BULLETPROOF! The clutch slips a little if you wring its neck really hard, but it is fine under responsible law abiding riding conditions. The only other flaws are that it is cosmetically challenged. The tank has a less than perfect paint job done by another courier mate who owned the spares bike that accompanies this one. NOTE Both tanks do NOT LEAK. If I had the time I would have given the bike a full respray, but it looks reasonably presentable.
Registered until the end of November with 90% tyres and a complete XJ900 spares bike (not running)
Selling due to overseas travel. Must sell by 16th February!
Last year I put MYSELF on the market and I sold myself as a "mail order husband" on the internet to a GORGEOUS Eurasian woman. (No Sheet! Internet dating works! I never intended to hook up with anyone overseas, but I have found the perfect woman! Awesome!) At the end of February, I fly to Asia to get married and I won’t be back. Unfortunately, they don’t allow the importation of bikes over 5 years old over there, so the XJ900 has to go. SO… I am asking $1500 For it. I am insanely busy organising my departure, so I won’t have time to get a roadworthy. Get it yourself ya lazy bum! You want a great bike at a bargain price with 100% spares bike AND a Roadworthy! Anyway. Call me BEFORE BIDDING. This bike is offered for sale elsewhere and this auction may be cancelled at ANY TIME, with all bids being cancelled, so please call first to see if it is still available. This Bikes and parts must sell by the 16th of february and is located in North Dandenong Melbourne Victoria.
