Yesterday, it rained between six and seven inches in New York City. That's nuts. The sun never came out, but late in the afternoon, the light got really...Jacksonian. And by that, I am of course referring to Peter, the film director from New Zealand, not the morally dubious man on the $20 bill. It's the kind of light that forces you to take pictures and that makes everything look at least 80 percent more beautiful than usual.
This cayenne pepper was grown by Terisa of Kingsville, Texas. She and her husband used Spray-N-Grow to grow an amazing garden this past year! They said they were the hottest peppers they have ever grown and they mixed them with vinegar and they made great Tabasco sauce.

This is my first try at growing cayennes, here are some of my babies hidden by a few sunflowers in a large planter. These peppers are coming in nicely. There are about 20 chillies on this one and some are 5" long so far.Looking forward to trying these because I've never had a fresh chillie just off the plant. I hope they're HOT!
